While doing the research on my transmission coolers I kept seeing links to purchase Mr Cool coolers. Everything looks legit from reading up on them, and the price is right. Has anyone used these before?

Please don't reply telling me I have to buy Caterpillar parts, I get it, and agree, curious about these.

I have one sitting on my parts shelf. It's actually looks a little more robust than my OEM's.

I'll be nice and say you answered your own question. I will say this about most, not all, aftermarket parts that are less expensive. They usually not made as well as the OEM. Food for thought. What is the price of a new OEM cooler and what is the price of a transmission rebuild ...

I guess the only way any of us would know would be to buy both, cut them open and take a look. Mr Cool does state their coolers are an upgrade.

The actual OEM for CAT is a company named Sen Dure Products. I’m not sure of the price difference between them and mr cool, but I can guarantee it fits exactly. The problem I had with aftermarket was the tube was not the same length (close) but the molded hoses did not quite fit right.
