Need bimini top sundeck 210 2002

My boat didn't have a top when i bought it so im starting from scratch. Is a 8' top gonna be to long and whats a good material to get? I see polyester and solution dyed, and sharkskin, sunbrella. Im guessing these $178 tops aren't any good.

Bimini size is a personal preference, measure your boat, just make sure you have enough headroom. Our bimini goes from the bench seat to the windshield, so it covers the entire cockpit, people suntan in the bow. We have friends who only have a cover that shades the driver, so the sunpad/bench seat is exposed.

Overton's and west marine will sell nice tops, ready to install. Sunbrella is a nice fabric, it is a little more expensive, but can lasts over decade. Bimini tops take abuse when you are funning 40 mph into the wind, so a little extra for a good fabric is important. The real cost bump is stainless bars vs aluminum.

A nice inexpensive addition is the rear support poles. Then the top can stay 'up' and off your deck, but folded closed for full visibility at night.
