Hi folks,
It's time to replace my Carpet runners & I'm having trouble deciding which color. The choices are down to Linen Tweed & Walnut Brown. Linen Tweed is the original Sea Ray color but my wife wants to go darker to hide some of the kids traffic dirt etc. She also has incorporated dark brown into the interior decor with, you guessed it, throw pillows. I like the darker color too but, my main concern is that it may make the interior MUCH darker as we know how the Sundancers can be cave-like already. I've attached a picture with two swatches over one of my stair covers. Any & all pertinent thoughts & info are welcome & appreciated.
In addition, I am having these custom made so they cover the floor COMPLETELY, wall to wall. The factory ones left several inches exposed along the borders. So, with that in mind, one more question:
Should I have them cover the floor under the dinette? I'm inclined to do so as my kids have become experts at spilling drinks off the table onto the carpet below. Thank you in advance!

I like the lighter color versus the dark. The dark seems that it would be too dark in the cave.

For me it's the darker version. Richer in color. Add a soft lamp to your counter. You'll like the warmth.

I have recently made carpet runners out of Infinity Woven PVC.

Using the walnut brown on the deck should look really good. Definitely put it under the table too. You could order some extra material to make matching bibs with "catch pockets" for the kids too! ;)

That was my thought, minus the bibs, although that's not a bad thought too!

That my friend is my main concern too!

I was thinking the same thing, especially with those throw pillows!

Is the infinity just laid on top or did you fasten?

I had new carpet runners made up out of the material used in clears - had the edges bound and snaps fitted. You can still see through to your original carpet with the bonus that your carpet will never wear or stain. You can spill all you like on them, have the occasional fridge leak, sand on them or whatever and obviously cleans up so easy. They don't gather either like some thinner carpet runners can.

Had them for a year now and still great as an alternative to traditional options.

Infinity is snapped over carpet just like the runners.

I have done 2 340s and a 44 and they all love it!

My only caution is to keep water out of the cabin as Infinity does not breath like Sunbrella (although spills onto the Infinity will also NOT leak through to the carpet below).

I have templates for 2003 - 2008 340DA

Go here for color choices: www.infinitylwv.com

PM me for price.

I also have templates for 340 cockpit

Hi Guys,
Thanks for the input. I'm gonna give the Walnut Brown Tweed a shot. That's the color wife wants & why not? If it's too dark, oh well. I don't spent that much time inside the boat anyway.
Quint,
I really like that Infinity Woven Vinyl but, probably more for my cockpit as I have thrown out the carpet this fall.

I thinking of doing the same on my 99 380 DA, instead of tearing out the old. Did you just replace the old covers with Infinity?

I have done it two ways:
1 - Pattern the interior with 6mil plastic for templates and make a tightly fitting Infinity overlay
2 - Use the old Sunbrella carpet runners as templates for the Infinity overlay

Both look amazing and quickly update the look of the interior.

He did our carpet runners out of infinity and we love it! Stays clean, easy to wipe up any minor spills. Highly recommend! Our friends did it recently too and they love it just as much!

Just switched my cabin Sunbrella runners to Infinity. Will see how it holds up. I like it in the cockpit. Sent my existing runners to snapincarpet.com as a pattern.

Yes. Had the cockpit and stairs already done. Decided to just keep the same throughout.
Same in the head also.

Very nice! love my Infinity flooring in the cockpit.Did you have them install the snaps too?

Do it. You will love it.

If you spill something it doesn't soak in..... simply wipe up and it's clean.

In the cabin I do have a oriental rug on top of this to add a little color.
