Need some advice mounting sub 2002 320 dancer

going to mount under the port side seat by the cabin but my question is 1-should I reinforce behind it maybe with a plate of starboard and 2- can anyone help me with where/how to route the wire into the cabin to where the radio is

I did not reinforce mine. works fine with no issues. Routing the wire is rather complex but doable. You will need to remove the access panel next to the helm that houses the speaker. Drill holes to pass the wire through the bulkheads and route it along the top of the exiting wire harness in the engine compartment. Drill a hole in the back of the port space to fish the wire up through to the sub. Loom an zip ties as needed. You will also need to remove the switch panel and head unit to gain access there. A fish tape is a must. I put my amp under the couch. Removing the seat cushion allows access to fish the wire to that area. I also found it helpful to remove a panel in the cabinet next to the electric panel to help facilitate the wire routing. I replaced my Clarion head unit with an updated model so the existing harness plugged right in. Did away with the cd and installed some battery monitors.
