New 2000 Sundancer 340 owner to be

I got the original build specs from Sea Ray. It is the 7.4L 380HP Horizon motors. The original specs indicate the hull color is blue. But the boat is definitely white. Sometime in it’s life it was painted. Should this be a concern.
I looked at it on Yachtworld.com. Nice looking boat. Definitely white gelcoat. That makes me go "Hmmmm".

I don't think blue hulls were even offered in '00 - are you sure its not referring to blue hull stripes? or blue canvas?

That might be the case. All the 2000’s i have seen are white with stripes of color. The stripes are blue as well as the canvas.

I was looking at a 340 that I was being led to believe was a freshwater boat.....a phone call to SR with the hull # solved the issue...originally sold in FL.

Got through the survey. Impellers need replacing, windlass not functioning, genny producing black carbon, control on spotlight, and fire suppression need certification. Owner dropped price to cover repairs. Bottom paint needs repainting. All in all pretty good survey for 19 year old boat.

My two cents if it’s not too late - get the genny, windlass and fire suppression repaired in the deal rather than take a discount based on the estimated repair cost. Each of those systems can be pricey once the trouble shooting starts. Especially the generator. And shoot...I don’t think 2000 halon systems are serviceable anymore. Could be booko dollars.

I'll hijack as I am about to join you too. Let me know what you find out about the fire system certification.
