New 4.3 timing

Hi all I just swapped a new motor in my in-laws boat and it seems to like 10 or 11 degrees of initial timing and at 2k it's at 25 degrees is the advance gonna open more after 2k I read I shouldn't be at more then 28 total so just wanna make sure it's not gonna advance much more. It's a 1998 searay 185 with a sae 4.3. I didn't wanna rev it to 2500 or 3k with it hooked to a hose and the t stat housing leaking bad and a exhaust manifold leak. I'm gonna fix those issues this coming Friday when I have time and would like to know how much the stock advance goes and at what time. Tha ks
