I know you’ve guys have seen this all before but just wanted to show off the progress on my new top.

The thicker material in the front is super clear.

They should be finishing the side and back panels this week.

Are those lights in your hardtop upgrades?

Yes. They are super bright and allow color changing capability without running new wire.

I saw them posted here:
http://www.clubsearay.com/index.php?threads/switching-arch-lights-to-led.104684/

I ordered them from here:
https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B015IY7VU4/ (spectrum RGBW option)

I can dim them, and change the color from white, red, blue, green, purple, orange. You do this by toggling the factory switch in the dash.

You unscrew the factory lights, cut the wire, splice these in and just snap these in place. No drilling or fiberglass cutting is required.

I just wish I could find a less powerful (and cheaper) version to go in the floor that matches the design but puts out less light. I don’t need the floor lighting to be as bright as these. Getting five more of these would raise some eyebrows with the finance department. I’d also rather spend that money on new electronics.

And you’re ability to use. Drizzle rain, still going out. Heavy rain, still getting home dry. Note in first pic drizzle rain only 1 boat at the tiki bar on a sunday afternoon, ya us. View attachment 109462View attachment 109463

I just noticed that your canvas roof starts at the windshield. Can you only drive sitting down when that's in place? My dock neighbor (a party boat) has a 250 and every time she takes the boat out, she takes down the camper and the bimini -- everything. Then when she gets back, puts it all back on again.

I was thinking about doing the same on our ‘06 but the way the switch toggles from 2 front 2 back and all 4 I didn’t think it would be possible to have all 4 the same color? Let me know…
Just starting the camper back process, please send more pics its looks great

My switch does that. It works fine because you can just pretend that the middle click doesn’t exist. I was thinking about changing the switch to a standard switch since the dimming function negates the need to turning the two groups on independently. At least it does in my use case.

Have to sit. Called a navy top, original SR canvas before they went to bimini top and plastic from windshield up. I prefer this. I have every canvas offered including the original slant back (no pic).
If we go out and dont want to assemble canvas we just throw the cockpit canvas on.
All my canvas is damn near as much as the boat. The great thing about having all this canvas configuration is never once has rain factored into a decision if we going out.

Hey phil,
You posted a pic of a USB phone charge that was in the cig lighter DC plug. Did that just stick into the DC plug or did you have to rewire? I have a tv/dvd that runs off the dc cig plug when anchored out so i dont want to lose capability. But if that thing just plugs into the dc hole to charge phones that would be cool. Let me know.

Here's one that plugs in.

I believe Phil's is wired in.

Thanks @techmitch It is wired in .... I used to use those plug-in kinds in my car and truck, and they always seem to wear out.

@Pirate Lady the wiring is not too bad, in my case it was a direct plug and play. The old spade terminals on the SR wiring are the same size as the terminals on the replacement. So as long as you have access to the back of the 12v plug, you just unplug the two wires, unthread the nut that holds the plug in place and replace with the new one.

I kept one 12v plug at the helm since I do have some accessories that use it. but I also added two more 12v usb plugs at the helm and an aux in that goes down to the radio in the cabin.

I use the plug in kind on my CC and I’ve yet to find one that will last more than a couple of months if the boat is left on the water. If your boat lives on the water, Try to find one with a cover. Or take it out and home with you.

Man those windows are really clear, those lights are badass too

Funny. I left my desk early today to do some investigating on the boat. I just snapped a photo and sent it to a friend commenting on how clear the front panels are. I thought people were kidding when they said the panels would be clearer than the glass but they were not.
You can see the clarity and brightness of the house through the plastic vs the houses through the glass.
