We are pleased to announce an added benefit to Gold and Platinum level memberships. “Ask the Captains” is now available in the Club Level. Long-time clubsearay.com members Capt.’s Rusty Higgins and Frank Webster have joined forces and their combined 65 years of Sea Ray experience and will be available to answer your questions and help you solve your boat problems. As time permits, articles on various boating topics will be added to the new section.

Rusty and Frank have both become legends on CSR offering sound advice, and helping solve difficult problems with our user's Sea Ray boats. They'll still bop around in the general forums as they always have, but with their added time in retirement they wanted a section where they could engage with members in a more formal format without the noise that can sometimes come along with public discussions.

I am very thankful they have chosen CSR's platform to do this. If you have some technical questions you think they can help with, please visit their section in the Club Level. Gold and Platinum Sponsorship is required. Sign up here - http://www.clubsearay.com/index.php?account/upgrades

Best deal around!

Platinum upgrade purchased.

We are happy that Jim and BOE are interested in expanding our participation in clubsearay.com through the “Ask the Captain’s” section in the Club Level

This doesn’t mean we are leaving the regular CSR forum; we are still here. It will, however give us the ability give you more in depth answers and discussion on the subjects that are important to you. A side advantage of “Ask the Captains” is the ability to control privacy since only Gold and Platinum members will have access to the discussions. On issues that are particularly sensitive like shopping for, negotiating for, contracting for and purchasing a new-to-you Sea Ray, you can ask us or we will initiate taking your question or discussion to the Private Message system or email if you want even more privacy.

We are looking forward to having fun with a different approach to boating forums. Come join us!

Done. Waiting for access

The permissions for access are already in place so you should have immediate access unless you just upgraded your membership. In that case, sometime Monday you should have access. Try clicking "forums" at the top left of the page then in the top section, "Club Level" we are the bottom section.

Don’t worry Mike, you weekly post count record is safe.

MM will likely repost everything over to the regular CSR forum so he can keep his personal goal alive. Or at least post on the regular CSR that something has been added to the new club access portal.

Anyway, I look forward to following the sage advice and input of 2 of the best sources on this forum! Thanks to you both!

How is the ask the captain forum going ?... I am just a commoner at silver so have to get crumbs from you higher ups

Yeah, not much point in sponsoring at the silver anymore if they're going to make a private section for the other two, and I'm not upgrading to access a forum that I sponsored in the first place.
Pretty lame.

I personally think this site is worth 1 tenth of a boat buck even without the "Ask a Captain" thread. It has saved me well over $100.00 and I got a t-shirt and a nice burgee. I was a Platinum sponsor before "Ask a Captain" and I'm going to continue to be one because of the site itself. I don't know if BOE makes a profit from the site or not and don't really care. It's worth the hundred to me so I donate. JMHO

So is the ask captain forum everything you hoped for or are you sworn to secrecy if your not silver

Personally? I haven't got anything out of it yet. But then again I am not in need of it yet either. If anything comes up about Put in Bay or St. Clair I'll PM you....:D;):D;):D
