I researched a ton before we ordered our SR for first hand experience on whether the tan interior vinyl is hot. Well, the few comments I found were completely wrong - the tan interior is unbearably hot in the sun, unusable unless you sit on a towel. It looks great, but I 100% regret my selection.

I saw a new 2020 and there is a new color called Stone. It looks like a putty Grey. Visually pleasing. Wonder if it is unusable like my tan.

The boat I am using until Taylor Made gets off their a$$ to finish my windshield frame has putty grey seats. SMOKIN' hot in the sun. Have to have towels everywhere.

Our first brand new boat was bought in 1968. Many more since then. I have yet to find an upholstery color that didn't get hot in the sun.

OTOH, our current SeaRay has full SeaDek on the deck / floor and it is a joy to walk on.

Never had a problem with this being too hot to sit on...

White vinyl has always stayed cool for me. Most anything else is going to get hot in the sun. I have a very light grey on my non skid and it gets HOT.

On the other hand, this Sunbrella has been staying pretty cool even in a tan color.

Thanks for your firsthand report on the tan.

I wanted tan on my next boat because white is such a pain in the ass to keep clean.

    Guess I'll stay with white.

I got a very light grey in my 21' boat and it is very hot to the touch to the point you cant keep your hand on it for more than 5-10 sec. I thought like you light color cool to touch, didn't work that way

I think the trick to keeping the white clean is to use a vinyl protector product early and often.

My last boat had all white vinyl with a subtle grain pattern. After 13 years it was still very clean and in excellent condition. I used Plexus or Yacht Brite Serious Shine about 1x per month. I did have shade over the seats for much of that time though so that limited sun exposure.

We use 303 about once every 6 weeks... Damp cloth in water the rest of the time
