Mercrusier 5.7 V8
New to this forum and just got back into boating here in Florida. Bought a 2001 Sea Ray 240 Sundeck. The boat is in nice condition overall and I have started restoring the deck area . I purchased the boat at a great price with the knowledge that the engine most likely needs to be replaced or at least a long block change out.

would be great fun if anyone could point out the best place to obtain a refurbished engine, just in case it needs to be replaced.

bought it “as is” and just on the trailer so have to sort out batteries and other bits before I can determine the engine issue.

notbsure why the photo looks like it’s sinking whichever way I put the photo in it’s sideways

Looks like a decent boat Phil
Yes its really nice but the previous owner didnt fix anything, hence why i got it cheap, so have spent about a month so far replacing most cycle parts.
