I grew up on the water as a kid but moved to Colorado 11 yrs ago. This state has become soo populated, it's hard to even find dispersed camping sites. ...... So the wife and I decided.... "Let's buy a boat with a cabin". That way we can just stay on the lake for a weekend. This turned into a 3 month process of shopping. We decided to get a "fixer" because I'm pretty handy, and we could give it a personal touch.
We found her in Grand Junction. 4 hr drive through the Rockies. We are the 3rd owner. Original owner had the boat on Lake Powell. Bought a bigger one and stored this one. The guy I bought it from, picked it up 15 yrs ago as a project for him and his daughter. Life happens. She got older and boat sat in storage. Aside from 20 yrs of Farm dust.... this Boat is in good shape. No rot. Mercruiser 260 runs strong. We hooked it up and pulled her back to Denver.
I've officially started the restoration process. New upholstery, new appliances, tune up, new hoses, fixing stress cracking, sanding, ect. I'm sure I will need some help along the way and figured I'd join a group of people that know a thing or two about boats. Appreciate any Input!! Stay safe!
