Hello just introducing myself here before I start trying to shake down my new Bowrider 200. It's been sitting for a few years but was well taken care of before that.

When I picked it up the starter and starter solenoid relay were shot. I replaced those, changed fluids and put in a new fuel filter. Finally got it started and after shooting out the gunk from the hoses it ran great. Maiden voyage it broke the alternator belt. 2nd voyage during a heatwave in WA state it died after an hour on the water.

I'm going to research the threads and make a new post hoping for some troubleshooting advice, but wanted to make sure to post up the courtesy of an intro first.

I love the boat and looking forward to seeing other SeaRays on the water. Cheers.

Welcome! I had the same boat many years ago and had a lot of fun on it.

I have the sane boat, only 1990.
Love it.
Let me know if you find a easy way to get up behind the dash.
I want to flip the selector switch on the back of the tack and have large hands.
Good luck with it.

Make sure your fuel is clean and water free. Carb is clean.

Recommend adding a fuel water separator.

I'm able to get at the small screw near the windshield with a micro driver, gearwrench makes one you can get from home depot that's pretty nice. But even autozone should have some tiny 90 deg. bit ratchet around somewhere.

If it's the same dash as mine it should just be that screw and one more on the opposite side, then it should pop off.

Thanks, but mine is different.
I’ve looked everywhere but can’t figure out how to remove the dash panel.
I’ll look again this weekend.

There aren't phillips head screws on each side? Different dash but it looks close enough to be similarly mounted. Mine go right into the vinyl and bite into the moulding underneath.
