So when i bought my boat the wiper blade was missing but the arm is there. interestingly enough the wiper motor is also gone and was replaced with a handle to manually operate it...lol. no biggie as i don't see much need for a wiper on a boat but anyway, the missing blade bothers me and i also hate the arm scratching across the windshield when i move it for whatever reason. so anyone know what wiper blade i need? length? any special connecting system? can i replace it with one from the big parts stores? can i replace the whole arm from one from a car? what length is it? boat is in storage and i was getting my to-do list ready for spring and want to add this to it. i will probably never use it but my OCD is making me fix it...lol. that and after 3 years my to-do list is getting smaller.

oops...i know its in my sig but its a 1986 sundancer 250

This won't help you ...... but I just removed both my arms and said screw it.

Been boating for a number of years and only used a wiper once and still was looking over the windshield to drive. Like you, I didn't want to accidentally hit the button and have them scratch the windscreen.

I agree with LD! You don't want that wiper arm accidentally skidding across your windshield (it WILL scratch it ). I've been boating for more than 40 yrs and have only had a few times when wipers would've been nice. Got 'em now....don't use 'em. Might I suggest using Rainex instead. I use it on my car, truck, boat, even snowmobile (yup, they make it for plastic too) That stuff works great!

not concerned over it working. in fact the wiper motor isn't even there. just want a blade on the arm to keep it from sliding across the glass. the other option is to remove the arm completely if i can't find the right blade for it

I use mine all the time. Fishing the Great Lakes, we always seem to get caught in rain showers, sea spray or snow...LOL.

Was hoping to see where you guys have found replacements. I've just about wore mine out.

I just buy cheap replacements at wal mart. I took my arms off and into a shop and had them coated. Lasts longer then paint.

There was a thread long ago as to where to get the wiper blades. I believe it was ryderfleetproducts.com. I have that saved for some reason. Must be it. I did order some a long time ago. I think I still have one in the garage.

I went through the process this summer, and found what I needed at Summit Racing. Search for ANCO brand wiper blades, can't remember the number...

I helped a dock neighbor replace his motors, arms and all this summer.

He bought separate, but compatible parts by Sea Dog Line that were very nice.

His blades fit on my arms and his arms fit on my motors which are a different brand, so there’s some interchangeability there that’s worth looking into.

The good thing about the automotive blades is that you have far more length options.
