Does anyone no the amount of R 134a in the de 461 refrigerator? The tag on the inside of mine is worn out. It usually tells the amount of charge from the factory there. I called norcold and they couldn’t tell me. I have mine cooling now but I would like to weigh in the correct amount.
Thanks

I just went through this with my DE0061. Installed a bullet piercing valve on the suction line and ran pressure up to 60psi for 24 hours to check for a leak. Then started bleeding it off and watching the freezer temp. Over a 3 day period, went from 20psi to 10 and to 0psi. Needs to be 0-minus 1 psi when the freezer is at 0-5 degrees.

I could find nothing about how many ounces to put in, but did find the 0psi a 0 degrees and it appears it worked.

Thanks . I have it running at about 10 psi now and it is cooling. But i think its still over charged . I will recover some more and keep an eye on it . Thanks for the info.

I don't know how similar they are but the tag on my old DE-704 says 2.56oz of R22
