Hello, I am new to the forum and have a question about my bunk trailer. I just purchased an 88 Sea Ray Sorrento 25 Sundancer. The previous owner bought a 2005 bunk trailer for it and the boat fits nicely on it. The question I have is this past weekend I was looking it over on the trailer and noticed that sea water pickup for the head was right over one of the bunks. Since the inlet cover protrudes out of the hull about 1/2" this means it has raised the boat up on the bunk. Has anyone run into an issue like this? What would you suggest to fix it? Do I need to worry about it?

My thought was to "notch" out the bunk at that spot. Not completely cut out the bunk, but just "relieve" it in that spot. Do you think this will weaken the bunk too much?

Thanks,
Ryan

Ryan, its as was said, Your going to have to move the bunk, you will never hit the same spot every time when loading that boat.
you should be able to move the bunk up at least one inch without any new issue's developing. You want to relieve the pressing when the boat is loading and with just notching it out, the boat will still travel the length of the bunker on that water inlet.

It's not hard to move them I added new bunks to my trailer for easier loading. they work wonderful
