Official 1980's Weekender/Sundancer 300 thread

I have not, mine has been working fine. The only wish would be for it to except chain. Keep us informed

Yesterday I learned how to bend plywood to make seamless corners. So the other side will have a smooth seamless transition from the large panel to the rear storage area. I will post a photo shortly

I will have to go down and get you that photo. This is the other side without the veneer

That looks nice. I might make a new table got some dark teak wood. Would make a beautiful show piece as you go into the galley

I’m going down tomorrow to dry fit the big panel and I will take a photo of the other side. It has been suggested that I should glass the area behind the large open area. I’m not sure I want to go that far. Next will be the L bench seat across the back for my wife

My norcold tek ii finally died in the 88 weekender 300. I searched around on the forum and couldn't find anyone specifically replacing this one with the best deal.

I found one for $1500 but can't find the original link, that seems a little ridiculous price-wise.

Found a used one on ebay for 425: https://www.ebay.com/itm/1438113907...B88cKIDZhyYbNavBWv6lR_h8diKb-m2BoCEZoQAvD_BwE

Any tips? I'm assuming this is a pretty straightforward rip and replace.

Has anyone replaced the bensen windless what did you use and how hard was it

I replaced the Bennett on my 87 300 Sundancer with a Good Windlass.
Thy had an adapter plate made from starboard for the deck, and I upgraded to heavier wiring, solenoid and new switch at the helm.

Hey Scorpio you were right no room for 4 6 volt batteries I’m just going to use a 12 volt 200 ah gel battery instead

I run 3 group 31 flooded cell deep cycles, seems to do well. I have no experience with gel cell batteries so can't really offer anything.

Guys, how do I figure out what transmission I have? I may need one as well as a cooler
