Official (1998-2002) 310 Sundancer Thread

Would like to replaced my scratched sink in cockpit with stainless steel anyone know where I can get a sink?
Try googling Scanvik stainless steel sinks. There are several places you can buy them. If you go their main site you can find the model you want, and search for the best price.

Next question Admiral wants the carpet out of the cabin and synthetic teak installed for next season .So what will I find under my carpet.

I have a 2001 310 and want to replace the faucet in the bathroom. Any suggestions?

Thanks.
I have also wanted to make this change also The selection of faucets with pull out shower is somewhat limited. My goal is to replace sink with stainless like I did in the cockpit, add corian counter top to update the look.

I pulled up a corner and you will find rough fiberglass. The surface has to be smoothed out with filler before you can put a new floor down. I think I will leave this one to the professionals.

Located near the aft on my '99 310DA, I have a cockpit table flush mount that has a set of 6 screws. I've since replaced it due to it being bent by someone rocking back and forth with the sun pad filler.

I'm missing a screw that holds it down, and I have been to Home Depot, Lowe's, and even West Marine - no one has it. Can someone help me locate it?

It seems to be one size larger than anything I've found - perhaps a size 15 or 16. Please see the pictures attached.

Try Fastnall. I can’t identify the size from a picture.

hello all,
about 6 months ago i bought a 1999 310 with the 5.7 horizons and centek 1601484 mufflers.
when i just cruise at about 1500 or so rpm's for a while my port motor just shuts off for no apparent reason. if i let it sit for a while it will restart as if nothing happened. so....
the other day i had to go rescue my brother in law who was stuck with no steering. coming back the motor shut off. i was trying to start it, pressing the start button, moving the throttle lever up and down a little and BOOM !!!!! my muffler literally blew up. the bottom section of the muffler blew up.
questions:
will backpressure cause this to happen?
backfire? even if it did backfire i would assume the pressure should still be able to escape and not blow up the muffler?
can these mufflers be repaired?
anyone know where i could find a used one before i have to break down and spend 600-700 on a new one?
thanks in advance for any insight

We bought ours a Costco (queen), cut it to match the v-berth pattern. It's been great.

Can you PLEASE describe how you did this? I inherited a brand new, unused pillow-top queen mattress last week from a friend who was going to throw it away because he didn't need it and was doing garage cleaning. I would LOVE to put this in my boat - how did you accomplish this without destroying the mattress? I'm so SICK of the Sea Ray mattress the boat came with. I sleep like crap, and I've tried so many toppers and memory foam - it just doesn't help much.

Anyone have issues with the Kohler Generator? We have a 2002 310 and a year ago I could get the generator to fire up but as soon as I put a load on it, it would shut down. This year it will start but then stalls right away.

Searching for a replacement grab bar rail that mounts in front of the cockpit sink. Rail is contoured S configuration. Could someone direct me where I might find this part. Perhaps a salvage yard or used sea ray parts person. Thanks in advance. Dan

So this past summer I started out thinking of a 260 Sundancer (new or late model) and quickly gravitated towards the 280 after looking at both side by side. I am now thinking 310 late model however one without a generator. Just wondering how often are the generators used and if a 310 Sundancer to marketable without.

Does anyone have a experience with the Mercruiser 4.5 MPI's installed on a late model 310? I understand it is a new or recent "clean sheet" powerplant developed for the marine environment.

While I have a 2000 310, it does not have a generator and I do not miss it. I have 3 house batteries that provide several days of lights and refrigeration when on the hook. On my boat the generator takes up too much space and limits access for maintenance. I also do not need another engine to take care of besides. If you don't think you need it, get a boat without it.

It should do almost 34 mph at WOT
The max Rpm should be 4800
Theres something wrong if it's not achieving this IE: Bottom is fouled, motors not performing to specs.
Are you having the boat surveyed????
In my opinion V Drives are the way to go .
Better dock handling and less maintenance.
Just wondering are your props 3 or 4 blades and what size?
