Official 1998 Sea Ray Sundancer 290 Thread

Microwave died .. what is a good replacement that will fit in the opening?

There are some recent microwave threads on CSR. See if a search doesn't pull up some favorable information.

If you already yanked out the old one...... might do a google search to see if you can find a used one.

One of the CSR sponsor companies once in a while list's some preowned appliances so you mighty luck out.

Question for the group.

I need to replace the seal around the anchor hatch.

Does anyone know the spec's or what I can use to replace it with?

Thanks

Needing some advice on price as I have been looking at a 1997 searay 290 sundancer originally advertised at £25k but after haggling I can get it at £20k or $26.6k currently in fresh water on Loch Lomond scotland and been told it has never been in salt water although the owner has only had it 2 years so impossible to tell. Everything looks in really good condition hardly any marks whatsoever. Engines sound sweet and only being 4.3 carb 190hp with three of us quarter tank fuel and half tank water it hit almost 40 and jumped up on plane quickly enough. I will look into getting a survey although my uncle who has had boats of this kind and done all the maintenance work himself are going to look on Sunday for a 2nd opinion. So given everything is in good condition and as described would 20k or $26.6k be a good deal? Just wondering ifanyone can comment from the uk ifpossible? Here's the link although not many pics. Thanks

Good deal is very subjective as you know, but I think that price is right in the ballpark for a well kept 290 with the v6's and no genny. How are things such as canvas and carpet? Those can add up very quickly and add to the price if they need replacement. How many hours on the motors?

Also, I wouldn't pass up the survey. They will find things that you simply cannot, and will run the boat through its paces up to WOT to verify everything. Being 20+ years old, you want to be sure there is no moisture in the wood throughout the boat, and a surveyor will help with that.

Canvas is good but the carpet would benefit from a clean. Other than that there are genuinely hardly any marks even the headliner is clean. I would like to get it out the water to see underneath so I think a survey wouldn't go a miss. I was Juana needing peace of mind that I'm not paying too much. Thanks

How are you liking the new floors?
we absolutely love them. I ran the boat for 3.5 hours non-stop yesterday and stood at the helm nearly the entire time and it was so much more comfortable than the fiberglass and even the old carpet. They clean up very easy too, I use a deck brush and boat soap and they look brand new. We've done our best to make sure we don't walk on them with shoes though, our docks are aluminum and they make a mess of everything if you walk through the boat with shoes

i know i've seen somewhere that offered this product but i cannot for the life of me find it now.
i'm looking for the tape light that sticks behind our switch panels to light up the switch names. not the actual rocker switch leds but the label above them has a stick on light tape to light up the name of the strip.

i want to replace mine as most are destroyed and i want to go with red so they are actually visible instead of the dull blur of the 1990's green.

also, does anyone know where to get replacement white rockers with the actual little light bulb symbol on them?
i can only seem to locate the blank white ones and most of my interior light switches are falling off but the switch still works perfectly.
