FYI all - I did this same upgrade based on the above. Did the exact same thing, made a $75 offer on eBay, prewiring was in place. Super simple and makes all the difference in the world, as there is no hearing the rear speakers up front. Thanks for the idea GATORB8!

Not to hijack or resurrect an old thread but we just bought a 2016 SPX 21 OB and they didn’t have any templates at SeaDek. I see yours in an I/O so we would have to make our own for the swim platform but I wonder if they have yours on file for the rest of the boat.

Bridog, that IS neat! (Admiral and I gotta move that up on our “discretionary priorities” list :). If you don’t mind me asking, where’d you buy yours at?

SINBIN, I cannot fathom SeaDeks business model; we gave up trying to deal with, let alone communicate with, their “rep” in our area to get our boat templated and I have been just too darn busy with out-of-town travels, etc. to template the wife’s SPX-190 myself. Any other business owner I know (or am related to) would’ve sent an employee to template a boat (at a freakin’ local dealer’s showroom, if need be!) after several customers with that same model, etc. inquired and expressed a desire to fork over $1,000+. Instead of (and I’ve spoken with other 2018 SPX-190 owners who’ve inquired) telling customers, “We’ll just keep turning potential customers (and all the business they’d bring us after OTHER potential customers see our product in their boats) away, until a customer decides to send us a template.” Smh, really.

As much as I like the look, I really think they (and their millennial “rep” in our area) may have done us a favor by $hooting themselves in the foot; the Admiral got so tired of waiting for “text messages” back she has decided the non-skid is easier to clean and a better “fit” for us and the grandkids. I took the $2,000 I was wanting to give SeaDek and put it toward a second jet ski (so, in the end, I’m REALLY appreciative of how elusive a template for a current year model boat seems to be)!

Hopefully, they will wind up having the template you need, on file. (But, I ain’t a-holdin’ MY breath!)

Thorsen, I got it from Amazon, but now you can find it cheaper on Ebay, around 250.00

Thanks, much! LOL, the Admiral reminded me we also need similar aftermarket apps for the jet ski (soon to be 2); they have even less displayed on the dash than most sport boats. Curious as to whether Bezos and crew are gonna run a “Prime Day do over” :)

Have a safe and awesome rest of the summer!!!!

Just joined CSR and was referred to this thread. We have a 2019 SPX 190 OB on order and expect delivery in October.

I was surprised to see all the comments about adding SeaDek to the cockpit floor. FYI for 2019 it is now a factory snap in option. That's the way we ordered it.

I would like to see pics of the aftermarket jobs that some of you have. And of course, I'll post ours when it arrives.

If you go back through this thread there are a number of pictures of after market Seadek installs. Curious that they made it a snap in option. Just last year it was the infinity woven snap in or a carpet snap in.

I did go thru it, and unless I missed it, I only found swim platform pics. What I was interested in were pics of the cockpit floor.

How are you liking this after you have had it awhile. Do you find the info useful and does it provide a lot of info being plug and play? I was thinking about adding this and would like some feedback.

I'm looking forward to seeing your pictures with the SeaDek in the entire cockpit. I love the SeaDek! I just went on the SR website and they still only list the SeaDek option for the swim platform. The only cockpit flooring options were the Infinity woven upgrade or the regular snap in carpet for the cockpit? I guess they haven't upgraded the site for the 2019's yet. Was it an expensive option? As to your request for more pictures...as far as I know no one did their entire cockpit in SeaDek. Some, like myself, added pieces to make it look more complete. Mostly on the walk through and the step leading to the cockpit.

Very useful info, and in addition to the info seen on that screen shot there's much more. Fuel flow, economy, average fuel economy, distance to empty, etc, etc...Inexpensive and simple to install. Get it, you'll like it.

The web site is old news. The 2019's are in production now.

When we finally got serious and was ready to order, my dealer said they were now manufacturing 2019's. I asked for an update (since the web page was 2018), and the factory sent me a PDF showing the changes for 2019. Among them was a change in the stereo brand, upholstery changes, elimination of the "select" option in favor of an "appearance" option, and addition of snap in SeaDek. It was about $700 ABOVE the Infinity option, but the admiral said she liked it best so who was I to argue? (actually I liked it better myself. My son bought a new Crownline this year and the Seadek transom is so comfortable and COOLER than the Infinity he has in the cockpit, so it was a no brainer).

We expect delivery in late October. I'll certainly post pics if I remember...

Congratulations. Looking forward to your pics. And I agree about the Infinity, it does get hot.

Yes it gets hot, but it does dry quick which is why we like it. A snap in SeaDek option would have been interesting thing to consider though. Love it on the swim platform.
