Official 19SPX/21SPX/SPX190/SPX210 Thread

yeah it’s 1800$ and it looks like it simply adds a 5 channel amp and a sub? That’s why I was wondering if there are built in pre amp outs on the head unit and I can just get a 5 channel amp and sub on my own. Or a four channel amp and a powered sub.
I'd agree that the standard system has a pretty basic sound system. Almost no bass what so ever. I have the Fusion head unit and like that, the app is great, the Bluetooth functionality is wonderful. I'd love to add a amp and a subwoofer to the system. I think the 4 speakers could use a boost too, the head unit seems to lack power. I didn't see any preamp outs last time i was looking around down there, but I'll check again this week.

Here is my 21 SPX with additional SeaDek. I created my own templates for these positions.

It looks awesome. Will you please send these templates? I have wanted to do this to my 2018. I can not find the templates and the dealer hasnt been able to either. Calling Sea Ray was not fruitful either. TIA

SeaDeck makes the parts. They have the templates.

Anyone install a fuel/water separator for their Outboard yet? If so, where did you mount it?

Not yet but I have all the parts to. I was going to mount it on the bulkhead on the starboard side on the rear sun pad compartment.

Great! What type of filter? Looking forward to pics if you can. I know I need to do this and looking for some direction of what others have done.

No preamp outs on the head unit. Not sure how one would hook up a amp to this....any ideas?

Has anyone swapped the cleats out for recessed pop up ones or even easier the flip up ones? Not a fan of the regular cleats.

I have a MS-SRX400 head unit, the one you posted installation instructions for. It has the wires to connect to from the wire harness, but not he RCA jack plugs that are more traditional. Just adds some more work wiring it up.
Well I’ll find out tomorrow. So it actually has line outs that are unused but not RCAs?

Correct, if you look at the link you sent, line 1 zone out is: provides output to an external amp and is associated with volume control for zone 1. I believe these are wires coming from the harness that would have to be spliced together using a weather proof wire nut.

Ok. Sounds like I’ll need some rca plugs. :)
Looking forward to chasing the power wires to the helm. Lol Oye

So happy. Less work for me. The radio does have line out rca plugs.

Have a 2018 SPX210, Simrad GO9 XSE with a couple questions/issues:

- Water temp reading stopped working recently. Not sure if tied to a software update? Anyone else seeing this?
- Since getting it the display always shows "Communication Error" until shortly after the engine is started, then readings (fuel, etc) start showing. Expected behavior?
- Anyone able to get the VesselView Link update to install? I have v56(?) installed and it's trying to install v63 but it never installs.
- Our lake caps out around 85 ft deep. Any benefit to using the DownScan over Echo?

Yesterday was the best day of Summer so far. Went out on the sandbar and had a wonderful time with the family. All of the other boats were responsibly social distancing and being respectful of one another.

Soon, a toon showed up with at least 12 people aboard. Then, 2 other boats rafted with them (rafting is against corona rules). Now we got a group of 20+ people.

OK, no problem for us - it's their choice. The "problem" started when they turned on the &^*%$ radio. They had a booster, a subwoofer, an ampere and a dingdong, and a whole bunch of huge speakers pointed in every direction. Not only were the music choices crappy, but it was so loud that sitting in our boat 50 feet away we literally could not carry on a conversation without yelling at each other.

OK, rant over. I just hope that SeaRay owners are more respectful of their peers and if / when they decide to blast on themselves they do it in a manner that they don't blast out others in the area that may not enjoy the noise as much as they do.

I’d like to travel with my 2020 spx190 soon and I’ve read you really shouldn’t with the two piece button down cover. I’d like to get a cover made for trailering that I can just put over the button down. Does anyone have one that has worked well with this model? I’ve seen a lot of bad reviews out there. I’m not going to be using it a ton, only a few times a year.

The OEM factory cover is awesome. Best cover I ever had. Plus, its custom fit to the boat and much cheaper than a local made cover from a canvas dealer.

Nothing wrong with using the bow and cockpit covers for trailering. The key to any cover is that it's tight fitting - which they are. I've got more trailering miles than most - between the amount of trailering I do for "fun" and for work. Never once had an issue.

That said, as Jim mentioned, the full cover from Sea Ray is fantastic. I really like that it only uses a ratchet strap to secure it.

I personally think the two piece will be fine but my wife read some horror stories online so she says no. And we all know how that goes. :)
