Official 320 Dancer Thread

I couldn't find anything either. My solution was to make them. Had to make several templates out of cardboard, but it came out pretty close to original. If you are comfortable with fiberglass, it wasn't that hard.

Can you show me a pic how it came out

Windlass troubleshooting - 05 320. Good day folks, anyone troubleshoot and fix this specific windlass problem before. I have the Lofrans progress 1000. When i activate the power at the helm switch (turn windlass power on) the light will illuminate but will not stay lit. I can hear the solenoid click. As i was troubleshooting I encountered 2 items which are contrary to my research. According to the attached diagram there should be a windlass breaker to the left of the main breaker box on the bulkhead wall in the engine room. I do not have that breaker where it should be. Where is your on your boat, same model year? Secondly, i thought there is supposed to be 2 5amp fuses in the solenoid one on each side. Mine has one on the left side of the solenoid and to appears to be in service, meaning i do not find the the Z wire broken. I did fine the negative side nut to be a bit loose and i tightened that up. Some question, how do I test the solenoid itself to determine if it is still good? My next likely culprit would be the controller box, but would a bad controller box send a signal back to the solenoid to prevent it from activating? Thanks for any input!

Replaced the latching solenoid that fixed the issue

Anyone put newer decals on their boat? My 05 320 has some decals that have peeled off or sun damage. Looking to spruce it up either with oem or newer style decals. Where is a good place to purchase?

Also looking to change over all lighting to LED original get hot quick. For those who have done it is it as simple as finding bulbs that will fit or do I need to get all new housing?

Trying to make old look a little newer.

thanks

Hey there 320 enthusiasts. I bought my cool fuel filter kits off amazon and they came with a little plastic tray/ screen. I dont recall those when i did it last year. These ar ethe ones i got. Are they correct?

I prefer and recommend oem parts for this particular service. Just my opinion. I think the Mercury parts come seperate. They are fairly expensive for what they are. I change mine every couple of years.

Mine (fuel filter and pre filter) are changed every year. On first year, they were really bad looking (although service was only fine 2 years prior, and not much usage), now, only slightly different than new. 200$/year is nothing (like quarter tank of gas!) If you can find after market, like maybe Sierra, and do it yearly, probably will be fine.

Going to add 5 lumitec mirage spectrum to the inside cockpit in either white or stainless bezel. Anybody done this with theirs and how do you like them?

Also thinking about 2 or 3 lumitec seablaze x2 as well. Anybody have those or any other underwater light and where did you locate them?
Thinking something like this??

Harmon - I replaced both fuel filters on mine. Pretty easy project. You can search my postings. I took pics of every step. Got rid of the pesky paint chip problem that would sometimes kill my acceleration. Good luck!

Those are below the cartridge and pull out by grabbing the center tab with needle nose pliers, or the like.

Good video on the process.

Cool Fuel and fuel filter?

On my 06 320 I have Cool Fuel modules on both engines, but I also have a fuel filter/water separator On ONLY the port engine. I’ve looked all around for one on the starboard side with no luck. Am I missing it or is this normal?

Follow the line. I think you will find it goes to the generator.

Did you opt for the offered warranty on this refrig?
Absolutely. I returned the cockpit fridge after just under 3 years (latch broke and the temp adjustment would spin 360 degrees), and a bit of hidden rust. They replaced with new, AND they sold me another 3 year warranty for 124$. The new one is better, looks like they refined the design and took out the hidden metal that was rusting and replaced with plastic.

How should I stretch the canvass on my 320, with heat or with getting the canvass wet? The canvass had been rolled up during the summer..... now in fall / winter time to install the canvass and isinglass..... (California)

I am down in San Diego and just put all my isinglass back up. I put it all up in the morning then let the sun warm it up. By late afternoon there was enough "give" to get everything buttoned down. I also have one of those tools that grab the snap heads and help pull them down tight. Good luck.

I bought these. Work great!
