Official 330 Sundancer Thread

battery setup question - sorry to revisit my previous subject but I just need to clarify. the '95 330da im in the process of buying has the genny removed. the genny starting battery leads and switch are in the cockpit seat compartment along with i assume the stbd engine starting batt (single) which has its own cutoff switch as well. if I create a bank of 3 x group 31 batts and connect them to the former genny leads, can these be used as dedicated house bank, if I turn the others to off? in essence, I assume that system was included in the charging system therefore able to supply power to the 12v side of the panel.

Any interest in a 1995 Sundacer 330 swimplatform? I have one I pulled from my boat. Platform is in great shape. I put on a new swimplatform.com model. Boat was at Lake Cumberland Ky. So it's spent it's whole life covered up in a covered slip. I currently have it at home in a shipping container. I live in north central Indiana. If you have a damaged one this would make a nice replacement. I'm just testing the waters to see if any interest.

Hmm do you know what years it might fit?

I do not. It came from a 1995.

I don't think a 95 will fit my 92. Is it the one that mounts over the top of your existing platform or the lower mounted one

bug screens for overhead hatches. where can these be sourced? also what creative options have the member come up with for companionway screens?
thanks

6.5's, but FYI, some of the new 6.5's need larger holes. It's not hard, get speakers you like and want and if you need to enlarge the holes, take your time. Hope this helps, Matt, Hifirush

Maybe from Bomar? I'm having a screen replaced at a local window store.. Some kid stepped through it. I'm also open to idea for a blackout for the forward hatch, the sun seems to shine right in my eyes every morning!

-some kid.. like that. havent addressed my girls yet with that!

I close on my 330 Saturday. having some yard work done, then hoping to deliver next week. thinking about the smaller details now.
was thinking of fabbing some screens with Velcro etc. I would like to do the cabin door as well

It wasn't even my kid.... Your 330 came with no screens for the hatches?? Maybe they are in storage somewhere.

JL Audio 6.5" fit but the screw holes are not the same spots so some drilling involved.

I will have to look further.im not holding my breath , but yes they could be hiding in some compartment.
regarding speakers, I was going to go with Rockford fosgate marines. found a set of 4 (6.5 ) and a 10" sub for $250 on fleabay
time is short now! cant wait. been a long time since I owned a boat. once I figure out how to get pics small enough to post here I will try.

another question. - the compass. I believe mine is a 3" , does anybody know the cut out size? my current unit is shot. was looking at the Ritchie flushmount explorer with the 3" card. says needs a 4-1/8" cutout. does this sound right?

does the fuel manifold on the 1995 330 da have a crossover to equalize the tanks? I have a bit of a port list and its annoying me.

The optional crossover valves are there but no pump. The 330 should not list with both tanks full. Mine sits flat always even with tanks low. Is there anything added that is heavier than the OEM setup?

no generator on the stbd side. that has to be it. tanks are pretty much pressed up right now minus a few gallons. maybe a couple of 50lb plates from a barbell placed on that platform where the genny was?

im thinking next time I go out I can burn only from the port tank? can I select them on these boats or does each motor pull from its respective tank?
