OFFICIAL 350/370 DA Thread (2008 or newer)

Agreed, audio is straightforward to upgrade, and a good local canvas shop can get you setup with the bow loungers in any way you’d like. You can likely still order the loungers direct from a sea ray dealer as well. The recline function is built into the lounger itself, so A few snaps at the foot of them and you’re all set. Underwater lights are another easy addition, just need to get brave and put some holes in a perfectly good boat! Good luck with the purchase

I'm looking at purchasing a 2018 Sundancer 350. It's missing a few options that'd I like, and I was wondering how difficult/costly it would be to add them after the fact?
  • foredeck sun pad with the folding backrest
  • premium audio
  • thru-hull led lights (or something equivalent)
Is the fiberglass deck any different on boats that came with the factory sun pad option vs not?

Thanks!

Hi Linux,
My boat is a 2010 so not the same as yours, but I wanted sun pads too and after contacting a MarineMax dealer was told they were no longer available. I'm having some canvas work done, and that shop said they could make them. My salesman got me an $1800 allowance because the boat was advertised with the pads, and it looks like I may be able to have them made for slightly less.

I have an audio guy who looked at the stereo and said it looks like a high quality Sony system, so he suggested replacing the speakers first and then evaluating whether I really needed to invest more in sound, which seems like good advice.

I just bought four Lumitec Sea Blaze X2 underwater lights for $319 each on Amazon. My mechanic will install them, so I don't know the total cost, but I'm guessing $5-600 to put them in. These are 6000 lumens and are white/blue. I had two Lumishore lights on my last boat, a 260 Sundancer and was very pleased with them.

Good luck with your shopping, I hope you're able to find the perfect boat for you. We did last August, and we've been in heaven ever since!

Hoping to tap into some model-specific wisdom here. My boat is stored indoor heated for the winter, and I had the yard disconnect the batteries. I'd like to get in the bilge to mount my coast guard number plaque, but am unsure how to open the hatch while the battery is disconnected with this model. I notice that there is a physical hatch up/down switch behind the kickpanel under the helm, so I am assuming that backfeeding 12v through the cigarette lighter plug and using this physical switch would allow me to so. Is this the case? Can anyone confirm how they go about this?

I pulled the trigger on a 2018 Sundancer 350. I'm thrilled to be joining the club.

Hi folks, I'm new to the board and hoping someone can assist me in how to run a radar power cable from the arch to the helm of a 2016 Sundancer 350 DA hardtop? I have run the cable form the radar mount site down the starboard side of the arch. I can run it into the engine compartment but I can not find ANY way to run it forward to the helm. I have reviewed other posts addressing an access area to the right of the captain seat or removing a storage compartment in the same general area but there is no such option on this boat. ANY help would GREATLY be appreciated.

As a follow up to this for everyone I purchased a battery jump pack that had a female cigarette lighter socket. Paired that with a heavy duty male to male cigarette style adapter and plugged into the 12v receptacle at the lower right of the helm and it backfed power no problem. VHF radio and touch pads came to life and I was able to raise and lower the engine hatch without issue.

The 2018 Sundancer 350 I'm purchasing has no trailer, and I'm going to need one.

Anyone know of any used trailers for sale? That's probably a long shot.

Any suggestions on a trailer manufacture I can get a quote to build one from? I'm located in the Rocky Mountains so western half of the country would be most convenient/less transportation cost.

Are you planning to actually trailer the boat around? Or is the trailer for delivery/off-season storage only? That’s a big boat to haul anywhere regularly and I assume you’d need wide load permits anywhere you traveled, as well and an enormous truck! My go fast buddies have myco and Manning marine trailers built for their boats. Very cool but also pricey.

It's going to be mostly in a slip at a lake near our house during the boating season, in storage otherwise. But will trailer it to Lake Powell twice a summer, perhaps other lakes.

Anyone have factory installed autopilot that can tell me where they mounted the brain box as well as the fluxgate compass? I'm looking to install a ray marine evolution AP this season and would like to use the factory locations if possible. Thanks!
John

This is the 2018 Sundancer 350 I purchased. I closed today on it. Super excited!

It's well equipped and has the motorized sunshade.

Beautiful boat. Good luck with it!

Gorgeous! Love the interior layout with the facing couches and especially the headroom in the aft berth

Anyone ever removed the Salon TV? I have a factory installed toshiba 32" tv that per the manual, has USB outlets that I'd like to plug an amazon fire stick into. For the life of me I can't figure out how they mounted the TV. The "Muff" or cover around it is super tight all the way around. I can see 3 phillips screws above the TV and 2 below, but I'm not even sure these would "release" the tv from the muff. I also looked around for screw covers in the vinyl to see if removing the muff was possible, but there's oddly only 1 visible and it's at the top left corner. I'm not going to destroy the cover or mount just for smart tv features, but there's got to be a way to go about this I'd imagine?

This may help and I believe you found the correct screws to remove. I replaced our 2008 tv with a larger smart tv. Anyway this picture may help. I posted the entire project but cannot find it, ill look when I have more time.

Thank you! the pics are both helpful and confusing all the same! it looks like there are 3 aluminum brackets with velcro on them at the bottom in your pics, is that how the outer "surround" for the tv is mounted? I see your pics show a couple of screw caps in the vinyl at the top of the tv, whereas mine only has one, to the left hand side of the TV, i'll post pics as soon as I can to get your perspective on what it is I'm looking at.

Sorry I didn’t want to make this confusing. Knowing I would not use the tv again I broke it off the wall to find a piece plywood (larger than TV) mounted to the back of the tv and 3 screws on the top and 2 screws on the bottom holding that plywood to the wall. I believe the 3 top and 2 bottom screws that you can barely see around the vinyl muff will remove the TV. The picture i sent is the new tv mount and new Velcro sub mount, note completed pic.
