OFFICIAL 350/370 DA Thread (2008 or newer)

Anyone ever removed the Salon TV? I have a factory installed toshiba 32" tv that per the manual, has USB outlets that I'd like to plug an amazon fire stick into. For the life of me I can't figure out how they mounted the TV. The "Muff" or cover around it is super tight all the way around. I can see 3 phillips screws above the TV and 2 below, but I'm not even sure these would "release" the tv from the muff. I also looked around for screw covers in the vinyl to see if removing the muff was possible, but there's oddly only 1 visible and it's at the top left corner. I'm not going to destroy the cover or mount just for smart tv features, but there's got to be a way to go about this I'd imagine?

I know I’m replying to my own post but wanted to share this for anyone looking to do the same. I have been trying to figure out how to get to the back of our salon tv for some time now, to add a fire stick to the hdmi port for streaming. Finally figured it out last night. The panel that sits between the bulkhead and the tv “muff” is actually a cover that needs to be removed to access behind the tv and the tv mounts. There are 2 screw caps and 2 long stainless wood screws that need to be removed and the whole piece can be carefully pried out. With it gone you’ll have access to the back side of the tv and it’s wiring. So happy I finally conquered this project! 0E858639-AA48-4EF5-8691-468CDD929FAA.jpeg4D24F5AC-B3AB-4D4D-A42E-DD9F8FFB4BAB.jpegEA91D6B7-7BB1-4A45-86EE-AEE5928B7A9B.jpeg21C65330-E291-41D3-95E7-0006C8B05B2E.jpeg

Congrats on the move to the pond! Let me know when you get settled, I have a buddy I think that would very likely be interested if you end up selling. We're both in Belmont, so a short cruise away. Would love to grab a beer at some point this season!

Absolutely will do! I'm not sure how to send a private message on here, but once i figure it out i'll shoot you my contact info.

One other thing to consider is marina storage... It is ***impossible*** to find an open slip at a marina in Massachusetts. That is something you'll need to start making calls on now or be okay with the boat staying on land for a couple years. Selling now and buying when you are able to find a slip may be the way to go.

Very helpful feedback! I was told Marblehead would be 20 or so years..... calling Salem-side today!

Had anyone ever had to work on the AC unit on a 2012 370 or close to that year? How do you get to it? Can’t believe that searay didn’t make any access that I see. I know it’s behind the port wall of the aft cabin

There are 2 screws under/behind the aft cabin tv that will let you slide it up and off the wall. The panel that the mount is on is removable and will give you access to the a/c unit. Not ideal by any means

Hi Curtis hook
I often wondered about that myself. I haven’t needed to get to the unit yet but had done much work(replacement of ) Q logic board. If you figure it out , please share if possible.
Thanks and good luck.

My starboard fuel sender ( 2009 sea ray 350 sundancer) reads empty when gas is in the tank. After a fill up , it will read different levels but soon drops down to empty. I believe mine are the sonar type( pictures below). Sea ray was not very helpful. I do not have access holes above , so the magnetic reed type would be tough to install. There is only 8 1/2 inches height between top of sender and bottom of cockpit floor. Probably would need to cut in access holes which I would rather not do. My first question would be, does anyone know the depth of the tank and has anyone found sonar replacements? Also was any calibration needed on the mercury vessel view when the replacement sender was installed?

There have been other threads asking the same questions. I would be interested if any one posts a solution. I have the same issues. From what I understand the Supplier filed bankruptcy. I have not found a sonar replacement. I keep meticulous records to determine my fuel levels.

Yes. I think I was able to dig up most of the threads on this topic, unfortunately couldn't find the answers I hoped for. If I get any good information I will definitely post it. I found it odd that another member with the same exact boat model and year had access ports to his senders and where also the magnetic float type(which may have been done by prior owner). Sea ray customer service wasn't able to give a definite answer as to using different senders for same boat model and year, but said it was possible.

I just replaced my 2 sonar units this week. Starboard engine went and as expected 3 weeks later the Port. Problem is when both are finally dead, the smartcraft alarm goes off a lot and needs to be constantly reset, so, a big PITA.

I was darn lucky to have a dealer that just by chance when rooting around in his parts dept found 2 original sonar sending units. They had bought them years ago after Searay stopped using them. Otherwise I would have had to buy newer replacement units that are the long rod type mechanical sending units. And, they had a slew of instructions on how to replace,, specifically on a 2008 or similar 350 DA. This involved removing cockpit frig and drilling access hole for Starboard side, drilling hole for Port also. These newer Parts were @$250 each. plus lots of labor. Plus, you need to resize/move the screw holes on each of the tanks in order accommodate the screws on the new unit!! What the hell Searay!!! Anyway, hope this helps. I would definitely confer with Searay and get exact part #'s. And moreover, I would try like crazy to locate some leftover sonar sending units. (maybe ebay) It makes it a lot easier to replace, but even then, its a very tight space to cram into and work on these buggers.

Hi All
Can someone that has it - tell me what your "ACCESSORY 2" switches on the main 12v panel from the factory ?
(ACCESSORY 1 is a blank)
Thanks for your help

If I recall correctly, my Acc 2 controls my lights under the swim platform

On my 2008 350:
ACC1 - Spare
ACC2 - Transom Lights

Hi Guys,
Apart from turning on TV - is there a way to tell if i have the factory inverter for the TV? ie is there a switch and/or where is the inverter located.

Thanks for your help

Figured I’d stop in with an update on the winter projects. First up was the installation of a raymarine evolution autopilot. My boat had the sea star power steering from the factory so I chose to go with the sea star autopilot pump, which piggybacks on the existing power steering pump and doesn’t require any new lines. Finding a home for everything was a challenge, but once I took the starboard side of the cockpit apart it fell into place nicely. I ended up removing the under helm door, the stud side “pocket” near the helm, and the cockpit fridge and access panels behind and below.

I mounted the acu under the dash and wired to the factory fuse panel. The ev-1 is mounted on the back wall of the void hidden by the “pocket” right of the helm. Ground wire and AP motor wires were fished from the helm down the stbd side and to the bilge.

I removed the stbd side batteries for this project which gave me room to sit in that area comfortably to do the work. Unfortunately some boat gymnastics are required, especially when you get comfortable and forget a tool, lol.

because I had to remove the steering lines and was adding a new pump, I purchased the bubble purge pro from outboard specialty tools for the bleed procedure. I can’t say enough how fantastic this tool is. Once you have the lines full of fluid this makes bleeding the pumps and the cylinder a breeze. Not spilling any fluid anywhere was a huge bonus as well. Question for you. In one of your photos under the helm I see a black switch mounted on a white bracket. I have the same switch do you know what it does?

It’s a backup switch for the engine hatch, if the eim system were to fail my understanding is that switch would allow you to open it

Hello all, I have a 350 coupe, do you know what / where to get the windshield wipers not using Searay / marinemax

thanks

In my 2009 350/370, the inverter is located in the forward stbd hanging closet. Remove the screws for the forward panel inside the closet.
When I bought my boat the bed did not recline or move via the control. The dealer told me it was broken. I found the inverter, turned it on and it all worked
