Official 350 Thread

I splashed our little go fast boat on Percy Priest several years ago due to months of bad weather during peak season here in Acworth. GA,
I should have splashed her on old hickory lake. live and learn.
I'm not a big priest fan, back when I had my wakeboard boat I went there occasionally due to a friend having a houseboat there. Wish you would've came to OHL, much more lake to explore and lots of great bar/restaurants

Good morning everyone. Currently updating a new to us 350. Interior soft goods all redone. Currently adding a 3rd battery bank for house use only. Going to install a 3Kw Lithium bank matched with a victron 12/3000/120. Inverter charger.
I want to add solar as well to limit genny use. I calculated daily amp/hr draw at around 147amp/h. So I was thinking a solar that would put out 20 amp/h would be more then adequate. Looking for some advice from those that have done something similar. I expect to run the genny maybe once a day for hot water for a short period of time, at which time the victron would add a full 120 amps to the 3rd battery bank if necessary.
Tks

We would love to see your finalized interior. Myself and others have original dated cabin upholstery. Friend of mine with like cruiser installed hardwood flooring and granite counter tops. His interior is absolutely gorgeous. (Breathtakingly gorgeous).
Regarding your power upgrades my only comment is we run 120VAC 24/7. either with shore power, Kohler 7.1 on-board genny or the two Honda 2200 companions in parallel for a total of 4400 watts sitting on top of bow. We installed a 410A wabasto Heat/AC with an easy start kit. Were able to run the 20amp battery charger and everything on boat except the water heater on a single Honda for long weekends. If we require hot water I simply shut the forward 16000 BTU unit down while heating the water. Sometimes I'll fire up the 454's to expedite the process. These are great large cruisers. Love your pick of a 40ft. cruiser on a trailer. Very cool and welcome!

For sure.. I was shocked to learn any Tennessee lake(s) could be a lesser good experience than Georgia lakes. I wish I would have known about OHL. Not to late as we still own our little go fast 1998 190BR with 400HP 383 vortec SBC on a trailer ready for fun.

Please read up. CSR members love one another.

Y'all should consider a weekend trip up this summer, we'd have a ball. Lots of neat stuff to do and see on OHL. That sounds like a fun runabout.

Got a little work in today. Replaced decayed inspection plate with a new one, hung 32" tv in the salon, and started changing my interior lights.

Nice, Love, Love, Love... the 32" TV install.
Kindly welcome our new friend from Canada to the 350 forum.
He's in 2 feet of snow at present.
Looking forward to making our 90 as nice as yours. Send me a link for the anchor access port. I have a free fall "Good" all chain unit. 100ft. payouts require my spouse to tear up the forward berth bed to untangle upon retraction efforts.

In effort to keep this thread alive I offer the following winter endless todo list cross offs.
  • New Gen 6 454's ordered and scheduled to arrive at terminal for pick up Feb 8
  • New extended swim platform waiting at marina shop to install once engines are installed
  • Water heater installed and done.
  • Below water level hoses all replaced. Pure misery as they were originals to "Plenty Of Time"
  • Deck sound system installed and done. Sub Woofer, amp and lighted Kickers all in place.
  • Engine bay super clean and replacing wiring looms, clamps and pull zip ties accordingly
  • Removed helm instrument panel dated red upholstery. Will be all white tomorrow ready for pick up
  • March A/C re-circulation pump wood mount was broken from some one stepping on it I believe. Built a new one from all plastic. Will install it and new below water line hose tomorrow. Friday 1/29/2021
  • Have 40 feet of red and black 2 OTT battery cable. I have all new ends from NAPA and the real AMP hammer crimping tool with some OEM style colored heat shrink and will start on this tomorrow
  • Ignoring wife's incredible articulate shared detail on the excessive amount of time I spend working on the Boat.
  • Still have the following on the list.
  • Tape up my bride's vocal abilities on the subject
  • Dress engines for marina to install. Drilling of accessory brackets from 3/8" to 7/16" Need a drill press or machine shop.
  • Pick up intake manifolds from machine shop
  • Remove factory swim ladder peel of sea deck, Plug and fill holes, Call and get on the seadeck guy's schedule Swim platforms and the new extended swim platform,
  • Order new exhaust wet hose for new engines
  • Order up or scoop up a better stern anchor for large tie ups

Where do you normally stow away your stern anchor when not in use? That's the only thing I dislike about our boats, lack of outside storage.

Since I've removed the aft bulk head couch I have a bucket with 200' of rope, 10' Chain and monstrous 42 LB danforth sitting on top of 5 gallon rope bucket. Way to much for a stern anchor.

Good morning from the sunny North. 3 feet of snow and minus 19 C this morning. Or minus 2 degrees F. Its crispy outside for sure. At least the sun is shinning.
Anyway, I need to know if I can accomodate 4 x solar panals on the canvas top between the supporting rails. The panals are 47 inch long and 22 inch wide. Since I cant get to the boat, was wondering if you could give me your thoughs on the matter. tks

I have a 15 lb danforth we use for a stern anchor. Or if possible rock clamp attached to granite or rock crevice, it works the best. And 200 feet of line if needed.

I can roughly measure this today, I am fixing to head to the boat.

That's a good idea, I also removed the rear couch (tired of moving it to access engines) and brought it home. Gonna use 2 nice deck chairs instead. I'll get a bucket to sit in the corner to store the anchor.

I too can measure. as a backup if need be. I will be at ours tomorrow installing new vinyl covered helm / dash pieces. I can try that is as might be difficult to do holding end of a tape measure alone.
Winter time dock help is scarce.

We put two aluminum white west marine chairs back there. Super nice to sit on but they always require tightening or replacing missing hardware. The stainless ones are heavy. When the deck becomes a dance floor for the girls, I plop the chairs over the helm seating to let them have fun.

Sorry Tim. I forgot to measure... Twice in-fact. So measure between the two sumbrella side rails?
