Official 350 Thread

I had it custom made so I wouldn’t have to keep my Searay in the water… I had so many issues with marinas and stuffing boxes and I just got tired of it…

what does a custom trailer cost exposure look like?

Less than 9k when I did it a year ago… I got it direct from the factory in Ocala. I saved that much in dockage fees at my marina and I wanted to do a lot of boat yard work to my boat so… I’m my case easy to justify. Just be aware without rollers you’re gonna have to have a forklift to launch the boat.

I'm currently painting my stern door but I had to reinforce with 40 oz of fiberglass under the hinge area because mine cracked from top to bottom. I think whatever mold was used they didn't apply enough glass around the hinge area... It's taken two weeks to get it looking normal again but at least I removed some of the hairline GelKote cracks on the top and on some of the radius areas.

Hate to hear that, things here in TN have gotten back to normal as far as I can tell. I hope y'all get to enjoy your boating season.
Good news. We are allowed back into the marina. On the boat today to get it ready for the water this week. Going through safety equipment and noticed what looked like the original Carbon monoxide detector. Removed from the wall and noted both wires were taped. The detector looked burnt. Breaker was also popped on the panel. Reset breaker and attached meter to leads. Breaker popped again. Problem in the panel I suspect.

New Sea Ray 350 Sundancer owner and wanted to get some information from fellow members. My question is specifically on diagnosing audible alarms while underway. While practicing docking this evening I triggered an alarm (long constant beep for over 5 min) by my (unfortunately) sudden throttling between forward and reverse as I lost a bit of control of the boat. Is there a place I can find the details to identify the various alarms? I couldn’t see anything on the gages as this was in the fairway to my slip.

see any red lights blinking anywhere?

Nothing on helm, and I couldn’t get down below. It eventually went off but wanted to ask regardless. Thanks for responding!

On my 350 I had a big buzzer under the dashboard to the port side silver (probably a bit rusty) most of the brains of the boats alarm system can be traced back to a piece of grey engraved plastic with those red led lights on the starboard side of the lower dash panel. When i bought my boat it made a lot of noise but i think i just cut the wire to the alarm... but typically the alarm is associated with one of the red lights... might be a high water?

Could also be high exhaust temperature which i suspected at the time but replace risers and and check heat exchangers if thats your issue and it will go away.

thanks. I will check it out, I didn’t see anything on helm like that on my 2008 model. Appreciate the info!

Looking soon to up grade to 4 Bladed props.
I measured the shafs on our 90 model 350 at 1" 1/4
what pitch should I consider?
Who has the best prop for the money (value)??

I have drip-less but from time to time have water on stbd side. Last Call thinks my shaft might have scoring from overly tightened stuffing box nuts from past.

I don’t know much about Georgia but we have an amazing propeller shop in Fort Lauderdale call Frank and Jimmy’s and they do my shafts for around $100 and every time I pull my boat out of the water I drop off my props in my shaft and they come out looking brand new balanced and perfect and if you’re going to take the time to do any sort of shaft or Cutlass bearing work it’s worth it to drop off at a good propeller shop.

My boat will only fit the last drop seals because I only have about 7 inches between the stern tube and the V drive transmission case

You guys in SF have it made. Our neighbor is having a 2006 44ft. Cruisers Yacht hauled up here to the ATL this Thursday. The broker honored Scott's request to have fresh bottom paint prior to the transport. Shop charged $2500 prior to moving this week. Same job is $7500 here on Lake Allatoona. Ouch.

hey fellas, just wondering, what do you keep your oil levels at? Are the dip sticks accurately set for the 350 installation?

Jared with "last call" could share more information than I, but I would say yes.
I just had to re-engine my boat with late model generation 6 454s. New engines are totally different and not sure thus far about oil levels.

Depends but generally if your stringers are level your dipstick works

Greetings from the North. Maintenance prices here have gone greedy crazy. A friend of mine just had the bottom of his 36-foot cruiser sandblasted with epoxy bottom and 2 coats of bottom kote. 17000.00 Can. \this pandemic has created a very greedy group in some areas of service.
\on another matter, any idea where to find the 3 tracks that guide the sliding top cover into the entry to the salon? Have a couple that is cracked. How are the engines running??
