Official 370 Express Cruiser Thread (1997-2000)

New owner here! :)

Speaking of the wiper motor, can anyone tell me how/where you access the port wiper motor? Mine needs replacing and I haven't the slightest where it (or the starboard) is located. Same goes for the weak ass horn that I want to be replaced as well.
Remove the stereo Speaker near the window, then remove the speaker box and you will see your motor.

Thanks! I'll start the hunt!

Could you tell me where the horn is too?

The horn should be located in the anchor locker. You should be able to see a grill on the starboard side just under the rubrail at the bow, that's the horn grill. Should be accessible inside the anchor locker hatch.

Post pics of your boat, we always like to see other versions of these sexy beasts! Welcome to the forum too.

As soon as I'm back home from the road, I most certainly will!

If I remember correctly, you can get to the port wiper motor thru the head medicine/storage cabinet. Been a while since fishing around in there.

Mine was behind that stereo speakers

Ran her over to Bimini last weekend. Great trip. Pic just off honeymoon harbor where we feed the stingrays and nurse sharks. 150 gallons spent, well worth the memories.

Hi all. I need help, I am changing the shaft seal, I need to remove the shaft end conector. How to remove it correctly, does anyone have experience? Thank you guys .

Hi everyone, back with another question! I'm looking for the fuses for the bilge pumps. I had to get a little creative with the wiring since my 2 aft ones weren't turning on and they say they're 8 amp fuses. Last thing I want is for the fuse to pop right when I'd need them the most!

hello, i have a 37 express im looking to find out where the power comes from to feed my auto pilot switch, is their a bus bar or similar (positive) thank you

Just made the transition from Pensacola FL to Toms River NJ over 2000 mile . We were hit by a storm near Tampa and the wind was about 55 knots. I have seen depths from 15 to 27 ft on the fishfinder. The boat is incredible. A lot of stories .

Good evening everyone, currently repowering boat with 8.1 horizons, was wondering what props everyone has had the best results with in this setup. I know factory 21x24 hytorq was what sea ray had with my 7.4l 310 hp bluewaters. But I am just seeing what others have had best luck with. COnsidering the DQX 21x23 or hytorq again 21x24. Any feedback would be appreciated! thank you guys

I just did that last year! I have ZF73 2.5:1 transmissions and I went with Acme 21 x 23 4 blades with some cupping. My Low end performance is OUTSTANDING! with 350 gallons and 5 guys, it jumps out of the whole. My High end performance went down 3 mph. My fuel economy went down 2.0 gph though! Love the motors. My Suggestion, call Air Marine in Chicago and talk to Kathy. She was great to work with and VERY knowledgeable. https://www.airmarineinc.com/ They stand behind their work too. This winter, she will be tweaking my props to try and get a few more mph out of them without sacrificing my low end. Good Luck, feel free to message me with questions...

If you dont mind, what are you getting for MPH or knots and at what rpm with that set up?

WOT 4600 RPM is 34MPH. My 454's with different props would do 37mph. My Cruise Speed 3400 is 21 mph and used to be 23. AS I mentioned. I am talking to Kathy now about when we can do to get a little more speed out of them. My Motors are the 8.1 Horizons, not the 8.1HO's.

So do y

So can you get over the 4600 WOT for those where you think maybe a 21x24 would have been better or no? Just wanna make sure I make a good decision spending the money on a new set. Thinking maybe no cup 21x24 would have worked with those for cruise speed? or you right on the money WOT rpms with those

21 x 24 might be too much. I don't want the motors to lug. AND, I want the power to run in following seas. One big thing I've noticed with these boats is they DO NOT like running in following seas. The set up I have now powers through the waves nicely with very little rpm lose. My 454's used to lose 300 - 500 rpm running through a following wave (3 - 5 foot). Its a balance...Like I said, this setup gets out of the hole really well for a 37 foot boat.

Great I really appreciate the advice! and with that size are u getting over the 4600 WOT or right at it?

yes. I'm actually going out today for one last run and I will do a WOT test again before I put it away.
You need to make sure your transmission ratio is the same as mine to do any comparisons.

Feel free to message me with questions. You'll love the 496, very smooth running motors. Only issue I've had is they like to chew up belts if you have them tensioned too much. not enough and they slip, too much and you get belt debris on the front of the motors. I don't have tensioners on mine. Just the Take up bolt on the alternator.
