Official 370 Sundancer thread

I replaced my screw covers on my '99 370 a year ago. I found the part number for the windshield frame in my 3 ring binder owners manual and sent that info to Taylor made directly. This time around it was a rubber molded gasket rather than the rectangular block style. If you already have a molded rubber gasket, you might be able to remove a section to identify the type you'll need.

No luck in my binder. I'll have to go the the boat and pull a piece up and take a picture and send it to them. I wish the rain would stop though.

I just pulled out my packet and manual............ it ends at Section 11
I went back to the owner resources page on searay.com and downloaded the 1999 370 Aft Cabin Owner's supplement. I'm betting it's 98% applicable to the 98 370DA. Too big to upload here.

Anybody update their badges/ emblems? Looking for some pics of early 90s 370 with updated emblems

Has anyone ever figured out what to do to support the 1998 hatch issue? I'm thinking some aluminum channel...

Replaced mine last year. The foam block style has been replaced with a nice rubber cover and its an easy replacement. I purchased part number 8349040 from Taylor Made, heres a link: http://www.taylormarine.com/hardware/parts/screwCover/index.html

That style if for the Stainless Steal style screw cover. There is a different part number (8349030) if you have the aluminium style cover.

They have the gasket for the windshield vent window too, 8352000.

Good luck

Not sure the difference or how to see the profile. I was afraid to rip the cover out of the channel since we are getting rain. I do have stainless steel - I'm pretty sure. Do I need to just pull it out to check? Did yours look like this? It's about a inch wide.

That looks the same. While your at it, you should consider re-bedding the windshield screws. You can back out one screw at a time and reseal them with your favorite sealer.

I replaced my windshield screw cover this weekend with the Taylor Made 8349040. I just installed with friction fit. Is anyone using molding tape or any kind of sealant to hold it in place? Also, is this piece just for aesthetics? Seems it might keep out a little water but not all the water?

I didn't use any type of adhesive or sealant, just friction fit.

Does anyone have a source for OEM pinstripes, decals and emblems for above the rub rail for a '95 370?
i don't but am looking for my son to recreate the stripes and decal - Hes a graphic designer. When he gets them done I'll let you know. I could sent the file to you have you can have someone that prints boat name letters cut it out.

Interesting that none of the profiles match up. Mine is just a rectangular profile so I guess I'll need to call them and see what to do.

And, boy are they in better shape. I advise this to anyone looking for the schematics. Do it on the 380 as well. Not much change there either.

So is it mounted nearly horizontal then? I’ve tried to stand one up vertically but I keep getting bad/drifting headings
Update:
I shot the fluxgate sensor, and threw it overboard. Bought a KVH Azimut 1000 digital compass, and wired the NMEA 183 heading sensor info into the autopilot. Solid as a rock. Should have done this years ago.
