Official 370 Sundancer thread

Roch, many of the questions you pose are already answered in these forums. Specifically, you will find tons of info on your Westerbeke low voltage issues, and stories of what it took to overcome it. Rather than regurgitating the info already here, I suggest 2 things. One can wait until winter.
Search, and if you don't find what you want, look at your keywords and try again.
Read the 370 Official thread from front to back (that's only 155 pages as of today), and take notes like the specific post id. Nearly everything will apply to you either now, or eventually. Yours is just about 25 years old. It is still one of the best, if not the best layouts for a short range cruiser ever built. Take care of her, and she will take care of you.

I am curious If you have come across an issue with "low voltage" output from westerbeke genny....I am buying a 95 370 and sea trial yesterday that was only issue...on start 80v-ish no load, AC load around 105v fluctuating...

Ok, collective minds of similar taste, here's my next quest

It is time to do the aft bimini, but before I just do the same ol thing one more time, we are looking at extending the aft bimini to cover most if not all of the cockpit. So, history. This boat has the camper canvas, but when I stole it, the PO had the back bimini frame in their garage. Since it was a repo, it was not appropriate to ask them for it.
I have what is probably 'most' of the aft canvas, but looking at it, I think I am missing some intermediate piece between the regular aft bimini, and the last aft section. Rather than mess with that, I am more interested in what others have done to extend the rounded arch curve to the back of the cockpit for shade. Where are your bows, did you flatten out the aft side of the top or keep it curved, what about the mooring cover, is that still useful once you do this, blah blah blah. I would still want to be able to enclose the cockpit when not in use just to keep it clean. Don't need a camper canvas. It's Florida.
I have the guy who will build it. I'm just looking for ideas, implemented or wished for. This is the '98, with the higher arch. I don't care for an aft or forward bimini that are not level or near level from the arch. Pics would be a great help. GOOGLE has plenty, but I prefer asking the family first.

Check out what I did with the camper canvas. Instead of doing roll-up vinyl pieces, I went with two sets of side panels; one solid sunbrella to close it in from the weather and another set with just screening. We call it the screen porch. It is one of the most popular spots on the dock during bug season or when the direct sun is too much. Plenty of air and shade. The relevant pics are three or four into the slideshow.

It's very much like a Seadek product. a closed-cell deck material. I did not do it I had a company in Racine WI do it

Looking for how to turn on macerator, the only switch that I can find is the breaker in the panel-macerator is functional, no power.
Macerator is aft of holding tank with overboard seacock, no electrical safety switches to Y-valve or seacock, no switches in Head, only breaker in panel
Thanks

That's really gave a huge lift. Nice
Regards Torgny.
