Official 370 Venture thread

2013 370 Venture. Does anyone know where the cockpit stereo amplifier is located? The starboard side speakers have a loud buzz in coming from them both.

OK my next speakers question is does anyone know where the little speakers on the bow next to the lounge pads connect? Mine have never worked.

Does anyone know the thickness of the swim platform? Trying to find grab handle(s) that will work. I'm amazed that Sea Ray didn't have those on this boat. The swim ladder doesn't work easily for getting out the water!

OK I found something that might work. See link below. The question is how thick is our swim platform?

Any luck? Mine do not work. I have not had time to identify

Had a strange blip today. Started both motors this morning prior to mid day trip. All ok. Got back the boat loaded ready to go port wouldn’t turn over. Battery volts ok. Message was “connection error” on the smart craft display. Shut down completely and then tried again and it cranked no messages. ?? We stopped for fuel and food at legendary and I left both motors idling. Not planning to turn off. Any thoughts? Adding this symptom. Got back to home port, and had a temperature sensor alarm, but the temperature was normal. Same sensor error seemed to prevent starting the next morning.

no luck with the speakers. Also no one seems to know how thick the swim platform deck is, not even Sea Ray.

I was looking at mine yesterday. Without measuring, I would say thickness is 1 1/4” - 1 1/2”. I can validate later this week.

Interesting... did you figure out the problem?

Hi, new to this thread. I just purchased my 370 Venture last week. While I have been boating for about 20 years this was a big leap for me as my prior three boats were all 22’ or under. The design of this boat coupled with the outboards sold me. In reading through the pages of this thread, I realized that I purchased a boat of one of the participants to this thread - TheBigB.
I originally planned to have a captain help me deliver the boat back to my home outside of Annapolis from northern NJ where it resides. However he fell through and I decided to take the two day voyage solo. One of the greatest adventures I have had in my life. The boat handled great in the ocean, in the bay and C&D canal.
One issue that I noticed this morning - windlass only works going down, not up? Any thoughts? It was working in both directions during survey.
Thanks

Welcome aboard. Congrats on the new purchase. I closed on mine earlier this month.

Any luck with the windlass? Have you tried using the foot switch’s?

Thanks, congrats on yours as well. No luck with either helm switch or foot pedal. Access is great through an access panel through a cabinet below deck. I get voltage but no sound (clicking sound or humming) when activating either switch. I tried tapping the relay switch with a hammer but that didn’t work either. I have someone coming to look at it and will provide an update.

For the life of me I cannot figure how to turn on the Bilge Compartment lights?

should be a switch on the dash board "bilge" maybe bulbs burned out? I replaced my with LEDs and much better light

Thanks. I must have a short somewhere (or wrong bulbs)... I need to further investigate. I like the idea of installing LEDs. Do you have a part number you used?

I installed a bungee cargo net to the ceiling inside the bilge compartment over the weekend to stow fenders and could have used extra lighting (LOL)

Think you just need the part number on the 12v incandescent club to get a replacement LED. Lots of LED bulb vendors online. I will look at them. Also replaced the sconce lights in the cabin with LED. Again pull the bulb and look it up.

The cargo net is interesting idea

The net does sound like a good idea

Just when I thought I was making progress on the BEAST. Replacing a engine cover shock absorber. Ordered a factory replacement. The cylinder was difficult to compress enough to get it on the mount ball (about 2 inches). I finally go the right angle and was able to get in installed. Happiness evaporated when I closed the cover. See photos of hinges un hinged.
