Official 380 Thread

New to me boat. It’s currently out of the water indoors/ heated storage with batteries disconnected. What’s the best way to get the DC side of things to get power? On my last boat 320 DA all I needed to do was hook up an adapter to the shore power cord and I could basically power my lights, dash MFD’s etc.
Plug batteries back in. Plug in shore power AC and let the charger keep the batteries charged.

If your batteries are truly disconnected you will never get anything that operates on 12vdc to run. You need to have your batteries connected, solenoid in the DC Panel to the "on" position and the individual circuit breaker switch for the desired circuit in the "on" position.
You can however run your 120v lights and appliances in the boat with the 30a/50a shore power cord attached but be careful you dont accidentally turn on the "ac converter" switch "on" as this will turn on your battery charger for the 12vdc side on and with the batteries disconnected it will damage it.

Can anyone tell me if both of the 7.4 Horizon engines are the same rotation on a 2000 380 Sundancer?

No....counter rotating
What? the props are counter rotating. the engines are the same rotation. Transmissions do the change.
start both and look at the front of the engines. another test is to put the shifters in forward, and see which way the transmission shift lever is moving.

That’s what I was wondering was if the transmission was reversing or the engine counter rotating. I have Hurth V630 transmissions not Velvet drive 5000A. But I figured it out that the transmission is reversing.
Thanks for the answers.

The Glomex Antenna on my 2000 DA doesn’t seem to be working.
Is there an On Off switch and possibly an A/B switch?
If so where are they located?
Thanks in advance!

You are correct.... I should have paid more attention to the question as I was referring to the prop rotation and not the engine itself.
My apologies

I have same issue on my 2001. Any advise on where to start troubleshooting is appreciated.

On my 360DA it is the cabinet below the TV in the galley.

mine was disconnected and the wire cut going up the spoiler and it was all replaced with a trackvision splitter and wiring. I found the original splitter behind the Tv Above the fridge and hooked the TV's back up and crimped an end on the cable in the splitter and installed a 11 dollar target passive antenna inside the spoiler and it works great with the glomex switch amplified get 50+ high definition channels.

Is there a glomex gain control beside fridge in galley, thats where mine was.
Yes
I see the Glomex gain control next to the fridge.
When I bought the boat it had a light lit up on the control.
Now there is no light, so I was wondering if there is an on/off switch that could have gotten bumped.

Can anyone tell me if my Glomex has an on and off switch other than the gain control that could have gotten bumped.

On my previous S/R’s the TV switch on the DC panel had to be on. The Glomex gain control would turn off with a “click” when turned all the way counter clockwise

Can anyone one tell me from looking at these photos if these horizon 7.4 engines have been updated to correct the water ingestion issues that they were known to have?

If you turn it on and see no light check the inline fuse. there are two screws holding it on and the whole box comes out and behind is an old school 1 amp inline fuse..
