Hello All! We have some Infinity (snap in carpet) that we are trying to recoup some of our money on. We installed it for customer but they didn't like it because it was too gray/ purplish. Looking to get around $900 (depending on where is it being shipped).

I have interest, but would need center to center measurements/drawings on the snaps to see if they would work.

In my 380 there’s a GFCI in the galley storage area under the microwave and one in the same cabinet above the couch next to the breaker panel.

That is exactly where my GFI was Erik. I hit the button and all my troubles are behind me.... assuming there was not something causing the breaker to trip.

Thanks to the others who shared their posts. It's a great place to come here and know someone will most likely know the answer to your question.

Yep, went through the exact same scenario with my port side, checked here, reset it, felt happy.

Anyone change their anchor rollers yet? Mine are looking a Lil rough, curious what people have used and where they bought them
Thanks in advance!

I replaced mine several years ago. It was a process where I had to find the correct diameter and the correct length, but the inside diameter was wrong so I had to drill it out. I'll check my emails and see where I bought it.

Works like a champ. Kinda tight getting in that small area to work.

Hi all. I am really frustrated... please read to the end so you understand the facts and I really hope someone can help me.

My starboard side batteries keep needing replacing. I paid the marina where we wintered to remove all the batteries and place the in dry storage, but they didn't.

We launched a couple of weeks ago and the starboard side was dead as was the generator. I used the cross-over switch last weekend to start the starboard side engine and one of the batteries exploded - bigley (is that a word?). I spent the day (90 degrees) in the bilge removing the old batteries and cleaning up acid, then installed 3 new marine batteries.

So proud of myself now, I decided we should go for a cruise. I went to turn off the shore power. As soon as I did the radio and other house systems shut down. My brand new batteries won't even run a radio. Checking the voltage on the panel, the starboard side read about 3 volts.

I started the engines as a diagnostic (using the battery crossover) and found that the voltage for the starboard side fluctuated dramatically even though the alternator is brand new (port held steady at around 13 volts). Energizing the shore power once again everything was normal.

Has anyone else experienced this problem? Any suggestions as to how to troubleshoot would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Michael.

You're going to have to troubleshoot each engine to determine if the alternator are charging and then if the house charger is charging.

Wow, I hope 74Alfa finds the source of the problem and can get it fixed.

I have a question concerning generator maintenance...I changed the oil today with a top sider and all was well good. Went to replace the zinc and could not get the new one in. The bung that it threads into faces the deck that the Westerbeke is mounted to. If you look forward, it is clocked about at 7 o'clock. I removed the bands holding the heat exchanger on and still could not get the new zinc into the hole. Too bad it does not come out the side at the 9 o'clock position. I thought that I was just removing the drain but could not find another bung with a zinc in it.

Any help or advice would be welcome.

Cheers!

The zinc is likely broken off inside the heat exchanger. Try taking some muriatic acid in a plastic cup and use a small paint brush and dab it into the acid and then into the hole. It will begin to dissolve the zinc. You can also try a small screw driver or use a drill bit and rotate it by hand to break up the zinc.

Thanks Doug, I was not as clear as I should have been.

The old zinc is completely gone but the issue is getting the new zinc around the corner into the bung. The bottom of the heat exchanger is so close to the floor where the generator is mounted.

I wonder if it would be easier to remove the motor mounts and lift the generator a little to get the clearance.

I will try to post a couple of pictures.

Sorry it did not rotate...drawing looking forward:

From the manual:

Is there enough clearance to try sticking just the zinc part in first and then screw the hex cap back onto the zinc and then onto the genset?

Thanks mrat...the zinc and the brass threaded portion are all one piece. in my little sketch you can see it. it is also shown in the picture from the manual.

I think it is a little goof in the way the generator is installed. It is too low to the ground. Maybe it is intended to be close to the edge of the hull where it is mounted.

Here is a sketch showing the Zinc in a position to be inserted into the bung but it is in the hull.

Still thinking about removing the aft motor mount and lifting it.

It seems to be the right zinc and it looks like the one in the manual. There is only one listed.

I wonder if the guys at the boat yard know to just remove the nuts on the motor mount and lift it. I'm just guessing about that way to get the clearance to insert the zinc.

Maybe when everybody is back from the 4th holiday someone will weigh in who has done it.

Cheers!
