Official 380 Thread

Yes. once I had the running lights on and covered the dash I could see them. Then I used the dimmer to brighten them up. I was wondering if anybody moved the power for the lights over to the ELECT button.

I'll check it out today.

Cheers!

Amajamar,
Thanks so much for the write up about the windshield washer upgrade that you did. It is very in-depth and thoughtful and I will likely be adding it sometime over this summer.
Thanks again and it really is greatly appreciated.

I've been replacing and updating stuff on my boat, I have an original steering wheel and all the interior lights off my 380 if anyone is interested......,

I tore out the carpet to be ready for my installer on Friday. I am so sore!

I used a Milwaukee blade that goes on a Sawzall. It's called a 3 inch Scraper Blade. I broke it twice...of course right at the stress riser where it goes into the Sawzall.

I may have to add a little strip to the edge of the hatches so they do not have a gap with the new carpet.

Interestingly, this hatch had the flanges that hold it in place broken away from the 3/4 in decking. I will glue and screw it tomorrow.

I’d sure you had the saws all already. If you ever need to do a similar project again, and oscillating multitool with a scraper blade is excellent. I’ve done a number of scraping projects using one. I have the Milwaukee 12v oscillating tool; it might be the best tool purchase I’ve ever made.

Arg, I have 2 multi tools....there is even one sitting on the boat. The Sawzall is a beast. Beat the S$&%t out of me but did the job. Next time, multi tool to the rescue.

I should have Googled the methodology for removing glued on carpet. What a biach!

Cheers!

Following up my marathon session getting the carpet out, I rewarded myself with the fridge install.

It is a 3.1 cu ft Vitrofrigo...the same brand we have in the galley.

I cut both of the sides 2 1/2 inches which left me exactly the 1 inch needed for the flange. The Upper left corner is a little tight as the F/G is curved and the fridge flange is not.

I wired a 12 Volt circuit up to a switch so there is the option of turning off the fridge when on extended battery operation.

You might notice there is a lack of cushions on the boat...they are all at the upholstery shop.

I'm in the process of doing this also. I opted for a glass door refrigerator that's 110v only. I'm permanently removing the outside door cuz who needs extra work trying to get a cold refreshing beer!!!!
