Bruce are you getting the cushions customized or just recovered.

Following up my marathon session getting the carpet out, I rewarded myself with the fridge install.

It is a 3.1 cu ft Vitrofrigo...the same brand we have in the galley.

I cut both of the sides 2 1/2 inches which left me exactly the 1 inch needed for the flange. The Upper left corner is a little tight as the F/G is curved and the fridge flange is not.

I wired a 12 Volt circuit up to a switch so there is the option of turning off the fridge when on extended battery operation.

You might notice there is a lack of cushions on the boat...they are all at the upholstery shop.

That's a great looking install. Nice.

Some winter time upgrades just finished. Chrome knobs for shift and throttles. Blue LED's in all the gauges, and a fancy new steering wheel to bring it more up to date looking. Led's were $6.99 on ebay and took 5 minutes to install. Steering wheel was $181.99 from imarine.co m, chrome knobs were $93.08 from boater land ( I know the red stripes usually are for throttle only, but I got a better price for the striped ones and I like them!) Then in the cabin I replaced every light fixture with ones I found on Amazon, I didn't want to just put LED bulbs in a 20 year old fixture so I opted for new fixture and they are Way way way brighter than the factory ones and should draw a lot less power while anchoring. Looks Great ....Love the Steering Wheel

Thanks Stee...we're pretty happy with it.

jz:
We are not really customizing the cushions...they will be a solid tan color...similar to the dash area. We do not like the look of the multi color where the different colors follow the seams on the cushions. We are eliminating the Sea Ray embroidery as it fades at a real different rate than the vinyl. Also, the seams on the bottom cushions that have the curves are pulling apart. They are a plain seam so the threads are stressed. We are eliminating that detail.

We still will have the nice French seam along the front of the bolster and the seam 6 inches in at the front edge. We are also simplifying the helm seat to match better to the navigators cushion.

The hardest part is the little add on backrest cushion that fills in the step on the Starboard side. Somebody in the past made one up and is is all wrong. Not the right density foam, wrong color and does not match up with the rest of the backrests. I am thinking of making a plywood base so that the foam will be the same thickness and the seams and whatnot will line up with the other backrests.

The main salon carpet is all cut and ready to glue in. I just have to add a half inch to the hatch covers. That is today's job for me. They will be ready for the installer on Monday when he comes back.

Cheers!

PS Pics to follow!

Got the hatch covers extended today. Painted up the additions and will place on boat tomorrow so the installer has them.

Pictures soon!

How is everyone doing, Governor just put Illinois on lockdown....

curious how everyones projects are going....

They were supposed to start my new bimins and camper isinglass pieces next week, think with this economy, probably better to wait til we see what is going on, hate to throw 9-10k at that and be in a deep recession....

Waiting on warmer weather to touch up the Fiberglass around the sink to install the new stainless one. also waiting on the warmer weather to install the oval "Sea Ray Yachts" and the "Three Eighty" letters. also needs as good bath and some polish/wax work....

New amp is in with the speakers and sub. Sounds good. Currently i have a single pair of RCA's feeding the signal to the amp. I still need to pull the other 4 conductor RCA cable so i can fade and front to rear and have the Sub on a separate signal....

need to change oil/filters in both motors and genny, i did the impellers last spring

somewhere on my AC strainer/hose i developed a leak, with the seacock off its dry still, but once i turn that on, i need to see where it is, it's not much, but something.... I also want to clean the front and rear areas around the bilge real good this spring....

Hope everyone is doing good!

My beautification will start shortly, hopefully next weekend. Boat pulled out this morning it is my first look at the bottom since we bought it in September. She is a monster. Got to start by taking off the old boat name and registration letters. Just bought a fusion AM/FM radio this morning and a new vhf ICOM GPS m424g. Both need to be installed. Plus all the stuff in the picture. New dash trim, victor dino steering wheel, Raymarine i50 depth sounder and in-hull transducer. Whew!!

Will be a busy spring hopefully!!

The starboard wiper motor on my 2000 380DA stopped working last season and I have been searching threads and the web without luck for the right part number and how to access the mounting location. Parts manual says the part number should be 1187087 but cant find it anywhere... assuming the number has been changed. I'm ready to throw in the towel and let the marina do it! Anyone have experience doing this? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Before you do that, try Sea Ray technical support, 865-971-6250. They can usually give you the cross reference between the Sea Ray part number and the manufacturers part number. Most part numbers in Sea Ray parts listings are Sea Ray part numbers, not the actual manufacturer part numbers.

Mounting location is above the fabric covered cover on the ceiling above and adjacent to the electrical cabinet. It is pressure fit. Use a butter knife or other blunt item to pull down and you will find the wiper motor.

One final thought, ensure that the circuit breaker is not tripped or other loose wire before replacing the wiper motor. The breaker is in the helm station under dash hatch.

Thanks amajamar. Good advice!

So after a few weeks of searching I was able to find a rebuilt transmission. For some reason the Velvet Drive 5000v’s that I have in my boat are pretty tough to find. It was a 12 week lead time, nobody had one in stock. Was strongly considering swapping both out for ZF’s. Pulled the boat last Tuesday and had it back in the water Saturday afternoon. We were able to sneak the tranny out without pulling the motor. It’s about an 8 hour job once it’s all set up. Going to send the old one out to get rebuilt so I have a backup. So far so good. Cross my fingers this new one will last a while.

Steering wheel looks great! Where did you get it, if you don't mind me asking? Also, you may want to post this on the 370 Dancer thread, as well!

After 25 years she didn’t want to let go of the column sort of speak. Lots of wd40 sprayed on hub/shaft that i let sit for 30-40 minutes with occasional beating of the wheel (like a vibration/harmonics to the threaded shaft) then all of a sudden it just came off.

The best way I've found to do these steering wheels is to loosen the nut til it's flush with the shaft. Have a buddy pull up on the wheel and then you give one swift whack of a hammer directly on the nut the wheel releases easily.

This new pinstripe from Hullstripes made a ton of difference on my 380. Champagne and black instead of that dated gold color. Hullstripes was a great company to work with, shipped it out same day I ordered it!!!!!!!! I Was all ready to go in the water this week but now the state is on a 21 day lock down that started yesterday.
