Hello my 380 friends

Curious about your waste guage in the salon electrical panel next to the fresh water and battery gauges. Mine hasn’t worked in the time I have owned it. I cleaned up the floats, so the indicating lights in the head are working

curious if the other 380 owners are working or not. If you have fixed it, let me know what it took please.

It drives me nuts for things not to be as designed.

here is the other thread I started

When i got the boat none of them worked. I cleaned the floats and they all worked. Then the empty stopped working and I cleaned the floats and it still didn't work....and that''s the way it still is.

My Waste Gauge always reads a half tank until it goes above 1/2 . Then when it gets emptied it will read 1/2 and empty lol

Hello all thanks for the 411 on that cubby . I have a question about dashboard back lighting I found the tube disconnected and laying behind dash , is there a upgrade anyone has done ? Does anyone know where that tube gets wired into?

is this the indicator lights in the head, or the gauge in the panel?

Thank You!

I have never messed with this part, changed the bulbs out to the gauges, but not this. good luck!

"Another question I am removing old open array radar and mounting a dome any suggestions on a mount and wedge if needed?"

We have a Seaview as we have the Garmin Dome and a KVH unit up and behind it.

my fox gateways showed up monday, and the backbone cabling for the nmea2k showed up today, so planning to install this weekend and hope to see some data on my Garmin GPS....

WooHoo!

I've also used the gauge because the one time I didn't I had fuel come out my vent. This device looks interesting but I don't see how this would prevent that.

Do you & Chris feel the fuel gauges are accurate? When I fill up, I can never quite reach the "Full" line. I realize you can get vapor lock, especially here in FL where it's usually hot. I have waited 5 minutes after the pump has turned off and try to resume adding fuel and it just backs up on me (no more of that). Also, it seems that once I am past the 1/2 tank mark, it goes a lot faster than when full. Due to this, I never really trusted my fuel gauges and almost always run with a full tank if I am going more than 20 miles from home port.

Thanks,
Vince

Analog gauges tend to be inaccurate, when I get to full, I can get 5 gallons usually before any issues with overflow

Hi Vince,

This is my first season with the 360DA but as Chris said most analog gauges are not very accurate. I filled my tanks at the end of last season and after putting about an hour an both engines prior to winterizing my port still read full while the stbd was down an 1/8th of a tank. Sorry I couldn’t be more helpful.

So back on page 88 a bunch of us posted up insurance costs. Very timely...our broker just sent an email saying that Lloyd's is not underwriting Premier Insurance any longer.

I have an application for Traveller's from the broker and will also look through the posts and shoot some applications out.

I got a 40% increase in the quote from Gieco. Must be all the cost of their ads...

I will try to find a Chubb broker...Thanks!
