Thanks. Completed survey should be available tomorrow afternoon. I don't anticipate any surprises with just a few mechanical items that will need to be addressed. Hoping it'll be mine by the end of the week. The owner had storage arranged that I will be able to take advantage of.

As far as bobbing around Erie, it will be occasional. It'll end up being moored on the north end of St Clair. The Marblehead area looks like a great spot with plenty of cruising options.

A couple of other 390's are pending sales. They appear to be the ones owned by Great Lakes and Cake Boss. Great Lakes boat was on my radar but the extended swim platform was no bueno for me. It sure had the right stuff on it.
We sold it. They’re great vessels. Glad you found one you liked. On to the next one.

Life is good and I'll be officially an owner tomorrow. The boat will go into storage Monday or Tuesday
Best of luck with the new boat but I must say, not sure how you can put away a new to you boat so soon after just getting it. I know it gets cold and nasty up there long before it does down here but we also have a saying down her that applies everywhere. "Last in, = First out".

Actually, I won't even use it. It's in a marina I don't have access to and the indoor storage company actually transports it to the ramps, puts it on a hydraulic transport trailer and move it inland about 2 miles. It'll get wet as soon after April 15th as possible. I'm having new dripless seals installed, having the props checked and tuned along with some bottom paint, polish and wax and finally align it.
As far as weather, they are thinking we'll get the first snow next week.

Oh that shaft and prop and seal work is great for the general maintenance , oil changes , check the generator , if you have any previous maintenance records or information it’s also helpful , and to let you know when the impellers were changed , that would be good but one of the things I do on my boat every year is to take the props off and send them out to have them checked if they check out OK it’s very minimal cost , they just polish them up, if they have to straighten them up it’s best you get it done it’s less expensive than finding out the boats not running optimum and you have to pull it out of the water again. Also the boat will perform better
Again good luck and you’ll love the boat !

Props, I think will go to Port Clinton Propeller Repair. I'm not sure who'll do the mechanical work. I'll rely on Mirror Image to give me some recommendations.

And Bruce Jones 4 Fiberglass/and they do do some mechanical ! Bruce John has the best prices around !

I am thinking about adding a heater in the motor compartment of my 2012 390. Would anyone know if there might be a 110v outlet in place from the factory to power the heater? Any input would be great. TIA

Keeping her in Belle Maer? We bought our 390 4 weeks before haul out this year too, we’re on Joss. Amazed at how easy she is to pilot compared to our 320.

Yes, we own a well on G row. It'll max out the length. It's still in Ohio it'll be May sometime before I get it up there.
Did you get the 390 offered by Temptation? Winter storing at Belle Maer? Looking forward to the spring for sure.

We stored ours at Sassy, they swapped our 320 which we hadn't yet sold for the 390, making beer for Carl helps the relationship. We got our 390 from the north end of lake near Colony at Bridge Marina. We looked at one directly across from Bumpers too... it was a POS & more $$.

Our 390 was owned by a minimalist. Just finished having bottom painted and polished/waxed water line up to tip top...the top had NEVER been polished...night and day difference, she looks brand new now, I would never have had the time to do what Paul and his crew did. Having Dennis Miller do new canvas over winter and updating electronics, which had all but failed. All stuff we knew... the bones were great on this one which is why we moved on her.

What did you get hit for a full polish from the waterline up? I'm getting quoted $4500 from the rub rail up but it's getting wet sanded/compounded/waxed... Rub rail down is going to be another $1500 just compound/wax

pretty similar, result was worth it. Not sure ours had been polished for many many years.

Bow berth TV replacement.

I inherited original TV when I bought the boat. I'm surely going to replace it with a flat screen at some point this year.

What size? And, what is the best mount?

I'm thinking just a little 24 incher would do but open to suggestions.

So I'm in the process of tearing it all up, nearly 100% of my electronics were non-functional, all 3 TV's would no longer power on. Salon with power drop down thinking max would be 28" (width measures 25"), looking at a 27" "hd monitor" that is smart, but no tuner. Cockpit i installed a 24" smart TV and in bedroom thinking 18-20". I am going to pull the tube TV of course, reframe the box as storage and use a pivoting mount (undecided right now). Issue I am finding is a decent TV in any size below 32" which appears the standard now... there is a few 24" but anything different in size is extremely thin pickings.

Adding a 12" Garmin MFD, but keeping the pacman style Raymarine and radar with autopilot because that works, but I super hate the Raymarine for navigation. If and when that fails, will change all that over, but at least it works now. The audio in the boat was dead as well, so installing 3 amps for 3 zones, 11 speakers and Fusion head and remote. And the Vesselview LCD display is dead, so changing that to a modern 5" vesselview. Trying to help the economy (I guess), boat had great bones, but we knew this would be our first winter project.

You're busy. Luckily, mine had new tv's in the cockpit and galley and new Garmin gpsmap and radar so I'm good to go there. Just the old dinosaur in the berth. To be honest, I doubt I will actually use it much so it will be a filler project at some point next summer.
