Sorry, can't help with the door... We have never experienced a problem.

Start with mass quantities of SprayNine, 409 or the like, sprayed into the track and rollers.
This goes for the top track also.
Then work the door vigorously while using a stiff long bristle brush to scrub the tracks.
Rinse and repeat if necessary.
Now you can check things out and better see what may be needed.

Sometimes one does not want to appear to be a dumbass by asking dumbass, obvious questions, so they try to figure it out for themselves and then research the web to find the answer first before asking the dumbass question.

We're now on the boat 24/7 for several days, doing the prep for transport. Easily accessed the salon HVAC filter and changed it out, which was badly needed. Looked under the fwd mattress for access to THAT filter, got a flashlight, looked some more, searched CSR and google - there must be a trick to this or I'm just a dumbass.

Unless the top mattress frame requires removal for access to change out the filter?

Did I miss it, or am I just a dumbass?

Is there a liftable left hatch below the mattress in the fwd stateroom? I have a hatch beneath the mattress, once I open the hatch, there is a removable draw/storage tub… the unit is beneath that. At least on my 98.

THANK YOU !

I'll check on that today :)

450 DA Galley to Port

We have the fixed galley table and the 2 round barstools to be used at the half-round bartop.

So here's the question: Where does one best store the stools when not in use ?

Also, was thinking of removing the non-operative Nutone blender and putting in a removable cutting board. I could easily set up a chute below it to go right into that under-counter trash can.

Easy & quick disposal of little trash items

Comments?

The bar stools are best stored in the closet in your guest bedroom at your house.

You never saw the changes I made in the salon on our 450, but I took the fixed table base mounts out and made a new table on a moveable telescopic base to replace it. The new table was much easier to pull out to access seating on the back side of the table. The 450DA has more than enough seating in the cabin so my barstools were retired to the guest house closet in our beach cottage.

Agree on retiring the barstools, but cant do this till i get her home.

Upon further study, looking at the kidney shaped salon table, the curve seemed not to match the sofa.

Hmmmmm...

After flipped the table around on it's bases so the curved side faced port.

WOW

More room to walk through, more room to slide behind, easier to sit down at the table ends and guess what?

THE STOOLS FIT NICELY UNDER THE TABLE !

I'd bet this has been like this for mort than the PO'S 15 years of ownership!

Hi I'm new here and to this 1995 450DA! Just had it transported from Lake Texoma TX to Palmetto Florida last week. The boat is in great shape with many original Sea Ray items included. Even the full working NuTone blender and opener setup, which I know don't perform like modern stuff but I think it is cool they are there and working! I plan to get her as close to "like new" condition as possible with some tasteful upgrades. Ive learned alot here already and looking forward to learning much more!

Dave,

I had this one under consideration, but the wife's underwater exhaust requirement took her out of the race. I was, however able to get copies of her many recent repairs and upgrades and FYI her valves were recently adjusted. You may already have this info, but PM me if you want these files.

BEST !

Yes, I would love to see the info you found on her. I have quite a bit as the previous owner kept e-ve-ry-thing on this boat. I will PM you. Looks like we were in the market around the same time and I too flew around the country till I found this one. She does stink a bit upon startup but the exhaust smell isn't bad after that. What part of Florida are you at? I keep mine in the Palmetto/Bradenton area and was delivered a little over two weeks ago. Thank you

I agree the Delta style is a better anchor for the Fl, Bahamas, and Keys types of bottoms. I have a Delta and rarely have issues. My anchor chute is set up for a Delta.
Many also like the Mantus anchor https://www.mantusmarine.com/m2-anchor/ but I've no direct experience with it.
I carry a Fortress anchor also on the boat for backup, tidal and storm dual anchoring.
@Dave Marshall - let us know how it works out and how it fits the boat. I would double check that it will fit the boat...
