OK When will enough be enough?

I heard on the radio today here in the land of fruits and nuts that the California Real Estate Association is eliminating the term Master Bedroom due to the obvious racist connotations. Not the largest bedroom with an ensuite bathroom will be referred to the Primary room. Really? Who sits around all day dreaming up ways to be offended anyway? I have my suspicions but if I posted them with the appropriate adjectives I might be banned from the internet.
In aviation maintenance there are a couple of terms that have been eliminated.
It is no longer preferred to refer to the brake system as having a Master Cylinder and Slave cylinders. Also one generally no longer refers the framing that holds parts in place during repair or fabrication as Jigs. We refer to them as fixtures. Now these I can understand but it is getting pretty ridiculous.

I agree. Some in our society are so hyper-vigilant around using "acceptable" terms and acronyms and pronouns. History is clear: there were masters and servants. Old architectural drawings often showed Maid's Quarters, some even a Chinaman's Room. Changing the name of a bedroom is someone's effort at virtuous pretence. History remains. On a boating forum is it okay to say there are far bigger fish to fry?

The real “problem” is, we in the US have built such a wonderful society where the
Standard of living is so high people can afford to spend time dreaming up this crap. Perhaps what we need is a real second Great Depression to have something real to worry about!

We've allowed this garbage to infiltrate and steadily grow here. It goes back decades. We are now in the "perfect storm" in which this is coming together, hence why we are seeing the frenzy taking place.

I think we’re on this slippery woke slope where businesses and others are preemptively doing this to avoid the BLM/antifa mob. I also think it’s a big virtue signal to show how much they care about “systemic racism”. The woke mob is winning and they know this has leverage to change anything they want.
