Single OMC 305
I have tried, unsuccessfully, to search the forums. I used both the search function and went page by page for about 16 pages.

I have a 1985 230 Weekender. I was able to get the original manuals that came with the boat, and I have been able to identify the motor, to an extent. On one of the valve covers it states it is a 5.0L 4 Valve OMC engine. From what I have gathered from searching online this is a GM 305.

Does anyone know how I can further confirm this is what the boat has?
Does anyone know where I can find a manual for it?
Has OMC gone out of business, or changed their name?
This boat came with a few different manuals from OMC, does anyone know where I can get replacements of these old manuals?

Thank you all for your time!

Please forgive me for how horrible everything looks. I am in Resto-Mod phase because of the boats previous stage of life before I came to own it.

call Sea Ray and give them your hull ID number....they can tell you all you need to know about your boat....

Original OMC manuals are available online, and for a bit less money the Seloc manuals are pretty good.

OMC has been out of business for a while and has since been absorbed by Volvo Penta.

Many parts are still available, but mechanics that really understand those out drives are getting hard to find.
