Omicron

What's BS @boatman37 is all the mandates are on hold now. Hope you can sue someone...
Oh I'm watching to see what happens. I received an email from my company stating I had to have my last shot by 11/24 or have an exemption or lose my job. I got my 2nd shot on 11/10 and would have waited longer but wasn't sure how long I had to wait in between so went a little early. They didn't shoot down the mandate until after our deadlines (for federal contractors).

Hard to beat first hand knowledge boys...

How so? My wife beat it in 5 days, I beat it in 10 (including pneumonia)....seems pretty damn good to me (didn't take it until we were ill)... especially since my mother was in the hospital with pneumonia a few years ago... for over a week! Might want to do some research on Dr Zelenko for when you get it again... your chances will likely go up with every booster you take! Or hey, take the NIH approved treatment (nothing)...

Again, @jmauld, how did you treat it when you had it? Why won't you tell us what you were prescribed?

@Dani-Lu I must have missed where you need to post on CSR when you get it. I haven't been back to work yet, what's that tell you o_O.

I guess your plan to not get Covid didnt work. And pneumonia from covid, in a relatively young healthy guy that never gets sick - Pretty aggressive flu.

All sarcasm aside, I am very glad you and your wife are ok.

FWIW I have been sick since I got my 1st shot. Not extreme but haven't felt 100% since. May be coincidence but who knows. I doubt it is related even though I'd like to say it is. After my 2nd shot on 11/10 I started getting sick and am still not 100%. I have this sinus thing that is going around so that's why I don't think it's related to the jab. But this 'bug' has lasted about 5x longer than my COVID did and has been about twice as bad. When I had COVID I started feeling it on a Monday morning. Felt pretty good Tuesday afternoon so thought it was a 24 hour thing. Wednesday afternoon started feeling it again. Went and got tested on Thursday afternoon and got the results back Saturday afternoon. By the time I got the results back I felt normal other than I lost my smell. Did not lose my taste though. Wife had even milder symptoms than me. She had a sore throat and cough for 2 or 3 days and that was it. I had a headache the first day for about 5 or 6 hours and felt achy and had a cough. Other than that I was fine. I work from home so only missed work that Tuesday. Wife is a teacher so had to stay home for 2 weeks.

Thanks. Not sure I really had a plan, if so I'd have taken ivermectin and HCQ proactively. Regardless, covid and strep were a breeze, pneumonia wasn't fun but to beat it in a week without hospitalization is great in my book.

And yes, took us all by surprise. We'd have figured she'd of died and I'd barely have a sniffle...

Don't forget Fauci saying... 1) get vaccinated and you don't have to wear a mask 2) get vaccinated and you won't get COVID 3) get vaccinated and you can't spread COVID

I hear that's after the 4th jab now...

.
I didn’t go to the doctor. My symptoms were over in two days. Same for my son. Treated it with lots of rest. It was a shitty two days.

it’s hard to beat first hand knowledge that your meds didn’t work.

As opposed to first hand knowledge reported by the MSM that the vaxx doesn't work? Where did they discover Omicron?!

Who the F beats this shit in under a week (two with pneumonia). And not the cases where there are no symptoms (or they are gone in two days)....

The vaxxed I know are out longer than a week when they catch a real case of it. But, you know it's not surprising these days when a vaxxed person gets covid - that's considered normal! o_Oo_O

FWIW, I never tested positive... never fully lost my smell or taste.... but can't say I know anyone who's beat it this quick.

Sure is gonna suck when all you smug vaxxed guys get it and go to the hospital to be told just rest up, no treatment...

How's this for F'd up.

Good friend of mine thought he had strep throat so he went to urgent care last night. He had a negative strep test but tested positive for covid. They gave him nothing and told him to just rest.

He asked them, if he tested positive for strep, would they have have treated it. They said yes and given him a prescription with instructions. But since he's instead sick with this pandemic illness, he gets no treatment, no instructions.

Talk about ass backwards and they wonder why the hospitals are "full".

So again, everyone please enlighten me on how they are treating covid before you are on your death bed?!

Explain something to me. Most hospitals are reporting more than 75% of their Covid patients are unvaxed patients. Wouldn’t you think the folks not getting vaxed would gain the medical knowledge you have for treating Covid after the fact? Or are they just stupid before and after the fact?

No. When you go to urgent care, test positive, they should direct you to a moniclonal antibody site. Get the infusion and get better before you’re in the hospital.

Just curious why you guys accept Mabs that were given emergency approval but shun the vaccine?

BY FAR most don’t get pneumonia with Covid. I would really take a hard look at my understanding of this virus if I fell into the category that got pneumonia. Especially considering you’re in your 30s right?

as for your first sentence, I have no idea what you’re saying? Are you saying that MSM is reporting that the vax doesn’t work?

enlighten me about omicron, with a source.

BY FAR most don't have long term effects from COVID, but you have new found high blood pressure after your two day mild case? Interesting.

My resting heart rate is back to normal, pulse ox back to normal, respiration back to normal and BP looks good. Taste and smell is fully back. All this after I started pneumonia meds on 12/2. No idea why it turned into pneumonia (well I have no chill and have no idea how to relax or slow down, that may have something to do with it), but why's covid kill some people and some have zero issues including no loss of taste, etc. Hell - people have gotten pneumonia for years...no idea why my mom got it years ago while she was in Vegas...

Omicron is being found in vaxxed individuals? Isn't that by definition, a vax failure, as are most breakthrough cases? Turn on the TV, look online - everywhere is reporting it's being found in the vaxxed and was first found in the vaxxed.

Just curious why you guys accept Mabs that were given emergency approval but shun the vaccine?

What are the side effects from the MABs or long term effects? I haven't heard anything bad about MABs like I have the vax. I hear most start seeing results in 24-48 hours. Fortunately covid didn't do much to me (sore throat), so I had no reason to get the MABs. It was a week after my wife got better (and I had already stopped meds) that I developed pneumonia...hell I had a trip set the following week which I didn't cancel until the last minute when I realized it was pneumonia...

I've learned that even though most talk about it, no one does the research into what do to or buys what they need. The first thing we did well over a year ago was buy a pulse oximeter. After I got sick, I found out three close friends (who I BS with about covid) never bought one....but have done so much other prep it isn't funny. I think most subscribe to the fact that covid isn't that bad - and for most it isn't...

My sickness came before there were any treatments available at all. You got sick with pneumonia, which means you were one step away from being admitted to the hospital. WHILE taking your magic medicine and disregarding science

Also I have several years on you. You’re not in the high risk level.

you might want to check your news sources. https://www.d.umn.edu/~jfitzake/Lectures/DMED/CytAnt/MABs/SideEffects.html

Just like the vaccine no one knows the long term effects.

however we do know the long term effects of ivermectin. https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/34644335/

I’m going to end my discussion with your comment about omicron being found “in” vaccinated patients. You have a basic misunderstanding of biology.

You could type as much as you want to, but the fact is, you got pneumonia from Covid. The fact is your immune system is not as strong as you thought it was against Covid. The fact is, none of us know how well our immune system will handle Covid, until it’s too late, for some. I got the vax to provide additional protection from Covid hitting me hard or worse. No guarantees in life, but smart people take precautions. I go backcountry skiing almost every year, where avalanches happen. But, I wear an avalanche locator to ensure they can find me, alive or dead.

Strep is a bacterial infection thus an antibiotic would have been prescribed.

Covid, or any virus, antibiotics are useless.

See vaccine as example.

Seriously you use a study about the long term growth effect of Ivermectin on tree frogs. Shows how desperate you people are to show how great your beloved vaccine are. Give me a break.

As my friends visit to urgent care Friday proved, there are still no treatments. Science is proving your wonderful vaccines effectiveness is dropping faster than anyone would believe, even after multiple doses. The majority of people testing positive for Omicron are vaccinated - hell it was discovered in multiple countries in vaccinated people!

Smart people take precautions, like an endless number of jabs? That seems smart.

I see plenty of adverse effects from the vaccine and opted not to get it. You aren't guaranteed to get covid, but if you get the vax, you get all that comes with it. Who says I couldn't get myocarditis from the vaxx like so many have? Or dropped dead like so many have? Obviously I did just fine with covid / strep / pneumonia as I recovered very quickly and did not wind up in the hospital... asking for a friend, but what's the typical recovery time for pneumonia o_O?

The pro-vax cult is a sickness. They do not realize the damage they are doing to themselves with the multiple jabs and won't until it's too late. We're almost up to jab 4 now, with no signs of it slowing...

Jabbed or not, eventually we will all get covid...seems like I did just fine with a severe case with it.. how will you do? @jmauld is still dealing with long term effects....to @Dani-Lu's point, no one knows how they will deal with it until they get it. As others here have posted, they've gotten it after being double jabbed and still lost their taste for a month. Isn't the vax supposed to prevent that?!

Right, but my fat arse doesn't want take a chance with Covid. I'm kinda in the ventilator profile - at least according to the admiral. :) I am just waiting till they figure out the omni version before I booster.
