I have a pathfinder rl70c and was told my GPS antenna was shot . I purchased a standard horizon scu-31 GPS antenna . both are nmea 1083 . the wires are different colors . can anyone tell me how to adapt to work thanks

The antenna first requires power which should be a red and black wire.
For NMEA 0183 there are two pairs of wires one pair is the "talker" or designated as Tx and the other pair is the "listener" which are designed as Rx. In a NMEA 0183 circuit there can be only one talker and up to three listeners. The GPS antenna is a talker. So you want to connect the TX+ and TX- to the appropriate NMEA 0183 Rx connections in the pathfinder.

Hi ttmott , thanks for replying. My original antenna has
1-black
1-Green
1-yellow
1-brown
1-white
1-red
All wires in stainless steel shielded wire. The new Horizon has
2-black
1-blue
1-green
1-red
1- brown
I don't have a wire diagram or a wiring schematic. So I'm not sure how to wire them to the correct position

There is no wire color rhythm or reason for the 0183 standard..... Seems every manuf. uses different colors.
Here is where I would do -
Red - Battery +
Black - Battery -/Ground
Brown - Tx+
Black - Tx -
Green - Rx+
Black - Rx-

Thank you so much guys i'll try that
