I have been exploring covering the swim platform with either teak or something else. I have a quote for $90/sqft for real Teak and another product for $70/sqft. That does not include installation that I would do myself.

I came across Permateek ...seems mainly in Europe. I saw there was an advertiser here on this site back in 2015...cant tell if he is still here. Permateek gave me a contact in Canada and he is sending me some sample colors... he ballparked $37sqft so a bit more reasonable.

Has anyone used, heard of or know anything about them?

IMO...My experience is anything but teak gets fricking too hot to have on a swim step.

I haven’t heard of it but it looks almost identical to FlexiTeek. There are many FlexiTeek installers around the US so you might have someone closer and more convenient than Canada if you’re interested in looking at an alternative to your current choice. I had FlexiTeek installed on my 23 Regulator and my 34 Regulator came with it from the factory. I’m very happy with it FWIW.

How hot does it get on your bare feet in the Florida sun? I have to agree with OC that every synthetic product seems to get very hot even when using a lighter color.

I don’t think it’s too bad but I wouldn’t want it everywhere. On the swim platform it’s fine because, you guessed it, we’re usually swimming and it’s wet. If we’re not swimming and it’s not wet, we have shoes or flip-flops on anyway. The OP asked about swim platforms, and that’s what I was sharing about my application.

I went with Aquamarine decking. Love it. Going to put it in the cockpit as well this spring
