PIB - Lake Erie

….. you can’t ruin the last weekend of 2021 on the island :)
What's this now?! We were planning on heading over next weekend(Friday morning to Sunday) again for Halloween at PIB... did they cancel it??? I haven't heard anything about this weekend being the last weekend at PIB. Please advise. Thank you!

LOL ..no “my” last weekend. …. The weather was a non event….no boats but lots of ferry people….bars were packed. Went home today in one footers.
Last night at dinner …. Not my beer …. But the couple we were with …drinking ultra gets you a rubber chicken and your label chickened… not sure why….but my Miller lite was accepted :)

Good deal. I thought you heard something because you mentioned going the weekend of the 22nd for Halloween as well. Have a great winter! Cheers

Changing oil next weekend. We are scheduled the weekend of the 16th and 23rd on PIB weather permitting.

No wife put the brakes on the “one more weekend”. I am hanging at the marina to button things up then next Friday pulled out

I'll be in the area tomorrow. Survey day. The boat's in Bay Point and if all goes as planned it'll winter at Mirror Image until I can get it up to St Clair in the spring.
Lol! Small world. I'll be there too. I'm captaining the sea trial on the other boat your surveyor surveyed today at Bay Point and then delivering said boat to Pier 53 for pumpout, out of water survey and storage.

I saw your boat at a glance. Looks great! Good luck. IMHO you have the best surveyor in the area surveying your boat. The boat we're working on is going to the Detroit River in the spring, I believe Detroit Yacht Club, if all goes well.

Busy day tomorrow, running our big boat to PIB in the morning, ferrying back to do the captain gig and then delivering a 38 Cruisers back to PIB after that for another client for the weekend.

Maybe we'll cross paths.

Thanks for your kind words. Your surveyor rating will help me sleep better tonight. Gonna be an early start for me to get down there before 9am. Thanks again

We(the broker & I) will be there(Bay Point) at 1pm-ish. If we have a few minutes before the sea trial I'll look you up, may have to wait a minute for the surveyor to finish Jus Cruisin's boat, definitely don't want to rush him. It'd be nice to put more faces with names! Travel safe everyone.

Cheers

Sorry for keeping Dave some extra time. ;) He was very thorough and patient. I would use him again.

Anyone use Dubberts for compound polish wax?… I am indoor stored there and they do it in-house at an okay price.

I've never used Dubberts. There's several in the area. I've used a few of them. I have a "guy" now that does it on the side from his current gig. He started out detailing and does a fantastic job. If you're interested I'll ask him if he's interested and pass along his contact information.

I committed today…. Then thought I would seek reviews…. A little backwards. But thanks for the offer

Well “Beauty is in the eye of the beholder” …but I am not liking it.

I assumed it was recent might not be though. This is from Miller’s camera a few minutes ago
