Picked up a 1981 SRV195

[El Capitan]

Freshwater boat with a good running mercruiser 350/alpha. Needs some detailing attention but comes with full cover and bimini top and trailer with surge brakes.

Running up to the Great Lakes to bring her down to Florida. Will post pics next week.

Got a ridiculous price on her can't wait to get her on the water!

With a 350 and Alpha drive in 20ft, it should get right along without burying your foot in the carbeurator. Some find it hard to explain, but covering long distance in short amount of time with only partial throttle has a way of yielding good fuel economy... I'm patiently waiting your post-assessment.

outdrive impeller/ check alignment

Recondition aluminum prop

Neoprene style trailer rollers
Compound, polish, bottom of hull, sides up to topside
New boot stripes
Paint Protection Film waterline to rub rail
Ceramic coating

After I mortgage the house to pay for all that the list will include:
Water/fuel separator
New starter/solenoid
New alternator
New thermostat and housing
Tint windshield

Making progress. Engine work done. Tune up, exhaust manifolds and risers new, thermostat and impeller, checked gimbal, propeller dings fixed.

Right now she’s at my detailer. Pulled old stripes then heavy cut compound. Next is second stage fine cut polish then add new stripes. Final application of Fusion marine ceramic.

Sanding all the teak trim and varnishing to shine.

Next week she goes to convert roller trailer to bunks.

Final stage is Lenco trim tabs, new stereo/speakers, dual battery w switch and charger, fuel/water separator and windshield tinted.

Looks a lot lighter in color after first stage compound but it has a great gloss for a 40 yr old gelcoat.
