Portable ice makers decision

For the record I just happened to buy the exact same ice maker as well but had better luck. No leaks and it fired right up and started chugging away making ice. Its definitely not silent but the noise is bearable.

Man Brother what a shit show, back to the ice maker, a buddy of mine was renovating his kitchen and bought one that looks just like the one you hate. I told him, “you don’t really think thats going to make ice like the fridge does” he got irritated with it and gave it to me, it’s been on the boat ever since on the ledge plugged into the outlet just before you crawl into the cave. It makes terrific drink ice, I bleach it once a month and just let it run 24/7. We have ice for rocks margs, bloody Mary’s and bourbon. If we are both on the boat I’m in the cave and the ice dump can be loud but I never hear the fan. I’m going to the boat tomorrow, I’ll post a pic.

Hey Blue One not sure if this is still relevant for you but this is the one I have on the boat and it’s still going strong after 2 years. Trick on water if you use any sort of bottled water you get frosted cubes, if you use distilled/pure water you get clear cubes.

Thanks for the info….. but I got fired from buying portable ice makers…. My wife said I can’t believe you bought a white one that doesn’t work…. She bought a black one and says it works great….. I have been working last few weeks so haven’t been home…. But if she says it works I am not arguing
