I was thinking there are a lot of very handy people on this board and many are sequestered over the winter and do some great projects. I'd love to see them.

So, our winters are usually pretty mild and I don't spend too much time hanging around the house but due to current circumstances I've had to find a winter/quarantine project.

After wanting to redo my garage since we built the house 15 years ago I finally got of my *ss and got busy with it. It all started because I saw a small set of the garage cabinets I've always admired go on a pretty deep sale. One thing led to the other and I've completed all the cleaning, moving 15 years of 'stuff' out, painting everything, installing cabinets, sink, LED lights, etc and getting the floors done. I've added a 65" TV since these were taken to complete the job.

I'm glad I finally did it. I told my wife she needs to remove her shoes when coming into the garage from the house. :)

What did you use on the floors?

Deck Staining...Evidently when you ask who wants to help clean and stain the deck, EXTREME Social Distancing occurs...

2 days to clean and prep, 1 1/2 days to stain the steps and railing. Hoping to finish the deck itself today, and get the underside tomorrow. Contemplating adding an under deck drainage system while I’m at it since everything is clean and ready to go.

That's too funny and so true. My wife ordered me to power wash the deck tomorrow....so next week when it's nice out she can touch it up....can't argue with that :)

It's called a full-flake polyaspartic finish. I had it professionally installed. Has a lifetime warranty. Supposed to withstand chemicals, fuel, oil, etc. Also said motorcycle stands won't scratch it or hot tires lift it. We'll see.

So far I couldn't be happier. Had them add just a touch of red flake to their standard black/grey/white blend to match the cabinets and stripes.

I'm hinging the arch on my boat. I haven't taken updated pics, but I finished it yesterday. I'm going to get some finished pics this weekend.

Nice idea looks good from what i can tell

This is wild - my garage looks EXACTLY like that! Except for the organization, neatness, cleanliness, extra space, the bright lighting, the Porsche, cabinets, sink, TV... :D

The husband of a co-worker refinishes wheels, so I thought this would be an ideal time to repair the road rash on the wheels of some of my Porsches. (ok, it's one old Nissan, but the wheels do have rash). In order to pull the wheels off, all I had to do was lift the car and move the lawnmower out of the way. and the boat fenders I've been meaning to scrub. and the docklines I washed and softened but haven't bundled. and the battery tender. and the Dyson. gas can. power-washer. ladder. socket set.

I eventually loaded the wheels into the back of the Jeep, let the dog in and got ready to head across town to drop the wheels off in their backyard. I put the Jeep into reverse and heard what sounded like an explosion, but was actually parts of the Dyson being crushed under the front tire and rocketing across the garage floor. I never liked the stupid thing anyway, which was why it had been relegated to garage duty...

As the wheels are being done, I try to burn at least 1 tank of gas in the power-washer each day. I decided to change that to each sunny day, which I'm now starting to regret.

I've washed dozens of windows. The dog has put her nose on almost that many freshly-cleaned windows.

The yard will get some attention today.

I will also expand "cocktails with friends over FaceTime" to "getting smashed with more friends over Zoom".

That's a pretty cool project and something you think would be an option from the factory. Is this for going under low bridges, trailering, covering ???

How heavy is the arch? Did the upholstery on the side cross the seam of the arch and lower panel?

It's for trailering. Here's a couple of pics, I haven't had a chance to clean things up, as I just finished it yesterday.
I don't know how heavy it is, I used pulleys and ratchet straps. I could lift it up pretty easy once the hinge was on though.

Is this the newage bold 12pc kit, looks amazing i have been on the fence all week on ordering. Very cool how you turned the one cabinet into a sink.

I added a sink and cabinet to garage on monday and last week had some guys do the polysparatic as well in the same color.
