Post your Stay-at-Home and Winter Projects

Yes, it's the Newage Bold 3.0 series however I started with a 8 piece kit and kept adding as my project scope grew. o_O I think the quality of these cabinets are first-rate. There are better, more expensive units out there but for me these are way more than enough.

Newage sells the sink cabinet but only with grey doors for some reason. I called customer service and ordered red doors from their standard base cabinet assuming they'd fit the sink. They obviously did.

I couldn't be any happier with how the floor turned out.

Deck Staining...Evidently when you ask who wants to help clean and stain the deck, EXTREME Social Distancing occurs...

2 days to clean and prep, 1 1/2 days to stain the steps and railing. Hoping to finish the deck itself today, and get the underside tomorrow. Contemplating adding an under deck drainage system while I’m at it since everything is clean and ready to go.

That’s what’s on my to do list as soon as the boat is in the water.
1100 sf of deck to do. My back hurts just thinking about it.......
Another rainy day here today isn’t helping the cause.

My future plans include a smaller deck and a bigger boat. That should help solve the problem.

Trying to get interior details completed on a new home. Garage and landscaping are next. The landscaping project got off to a good start before our Governor shut things down. A few pix........

Beautiful home. Garage looks spotless.

I have to say, that's the biggest hatch I've seen on a car. I think it's bigger than my truck bed cover :)

I was thinking there are a lot of very handy people on this board and many are sequestered over the winter and do some great projects. I'd love to see them.

So, our winters are usually pretty mild and I don't spend too much time hanging around the house but due to current circumstances I've had to find a winter/quarantine project.

After wanting to redo my garage since we built the house 15 years ago I finally got of my *ss and got busy with it. It all started because I saw a small set of the garage cabinets I've always admired go on a pretty deep sale. One thing led to the other and I've completed all the cleaning, moving 15 years of 'stuff' out, painting everything, installing cabinets, sink, LED lights, etc and getting the floors done. I've added a 65" TV since these were taken to complete the job.

I'm glad I finally did it. I told my wife she needs to remove her shoes when coming into the garage from the house. :)

beautiful, both the porsche and the garage

This is our project. We are now parents again after 11 years as empty nesters. Not sure how long it will last but probably at least until year end. It's a very demanding project. But it has to be done.

Mine include removal of the deck and a 12x24 above ground pool that I clean constantly and nobody uses.
Replace the deck with masonry and put a hot tub and shed in its place.
I always dream about a bigger boat but on days like today, after spending the last two days on ladders with my Makita polishing the sides of my 410 below the rubrails, reality sets in.
Today is a rain induced rest day and as much as I’m disappointed that I missed a boat prep day, my neck, shoulders and sciatica afflicted back are rejoicing.

That’s what it’s all about.

It must be deck washing season, finished two decks and a patio today, house tomorrow.

oh and I would take a picture of the Porsche in the garage but it not there, it’s in the body shop.
We took my wife’s Cayenne out of winter storage last weekend and within a couple hour some A-Hole rear ended us.

Pressure washed the black winter grime off of the flagstone patio this morning. Takes a few hours. Looks much better now with the black washed off.

With the garage shaming you are doing, I should probably get out and start on that mess.

Garage shaming? Hell, I need to get my lazy butt outside and power wash my pool deck. I had no idea it was such a big thing in the Sea Ray community! Until it's done I'll stop everyone in the garage before they can get to the back yard.

This is a normal garage... with Weed eaters, rakes and lawnmowers in it... and empty Rotella buckets :)… Power washed the deck and cleaned out the garage today....perfect working weather.

The floor in our garage was polished and stained... I was a bit skeptical but after 14 years now it looks as good as new

This is almost comical that we’re all on the same page. Garage done last week. Patio/pool area done 2 days ago and 1/3 of the driveway done yesterday. Should finish the driveway tomorrow.

Blueone, my garage pics were their glamour shots. Since then I've reloaded it with 4 cars and 4 motorcycles, garbage cans, etc., etc., etc., Lost a little of its luster.

BearPaws, If we don't stay busy in the yard or garage we're going to be asked to do honey-do's inside and we KNOW they ain't going to be as fulfilling. That said, today I did drill a hole through our granite to install a soap dispenser I'd been promising to do for 15 years.

OllieC, those are the essential fuel that drives the engine.
