Post your Stay-at-Home and Winter Projects

You need to get a picture of that! Would be hilarous. Maybe a 'I survived Covid-19' t-shirt.
Here you go! We’re having fun!

Cop and stee,
It is a process called epoxy coating, much the same as clear bar tops. We poured clear epoxy down an immediately started using tinted epoxy. There really is no right or wrong to it. Pintrest and you tube have great videos. This was our second project using this technique. The first was a bar stool ten minutes before. All in for around $50

I worked for 4 hours with 3 different machines to remove countless cubic yards of leaves from the pachysandra ground cover. (the landscapers can do the whole yard in the time it took me to do one small section, and I'm not sure anyone would even notice what I did?)

Now I'm considering crawling on all 4's to make a cocktail. That the ice and vodka are both stored on low shelves is a very happy coincidence...

Cut the cord today.... went with FireSticks where I had to and YoutubeTV, Netflix and Prime.... we have been testing it out for a couple of months.... got rid of Direct TV

just a side note... the new firesticks turn on and off the TV and work the volume...so now you just need one remote

Now that you bring it up that was another successful project completed.

I've been humming and hahing forever about getting rid of Fios forever and finally I just ordered Roku sticks for some TVs and turning it off.

Little bit of a learning curve and resetting expectations but now I'm no longer being held hostage.

I have lots of things outside I'd like to be doing but my bad knee is acting up. I got a brace on and shuffling around with a cane....useless I am right now. Soon as the snow melts away I'll get a campfire going and drink some beer, I can still do that pretty good.

Roku TVs will be your happiest point, then a Roku Ultra, or whatever stick also controls your TV power/volume. If you add Roku Speakers, it is a HOME RUN. If you can't find what you want to watch, and miss the cable channels, look into YouTube TV. Hands down the best compromise out there. That may change weekly...., but for now, if my 86 year old mother can get her brain around it, the rest of us can too.
The Roku mantra is (or should be), when in doubt, go home.

We bought both a roku and a firestick and have been using both for a couple months. The format and getting around.. I find the firestick is a lot better... I will replace the roku....

I just finished installing my STNG backbone from the salon and integrated my Fusion MS 755 AV. I think I can honestly say I’m done with upgrading the 44(for now);) at least until one of you posts some cool new doodad that I can’t live without!
Carpe Diem
