Waterford, CT, boat in Deep River, CT
Boat Info
'97 300 DA "Me-Shell"
Engines
Twin 5.7 V-Drive
..this Saturday. Haven't taken her out for a ride more than an hour cruise both directions on the river but as we gain confidence in the engines since purchase, here goes her first trip out to the sound. Boat is still under prior name "Going Coastal" but if you see us give a wave! Likely drop anchor in east or west harbor (depending on weather) and chill for the day.

Say Hi to everyone at the Pequot for me......lots of good memories......spent a lot of time anchored out by flat hammock - are you planning to stay the night, or just a day trip? lots of great stops just a stone throw away - Stonington Borough, napatree, mystic - have fun and update the thread with pics!

I grew up right across FI Sound in Stonington, next to Lords Point, on Quiambaug Cove.
Last year I stayed overnight at the Pequot..I installed a new network in there, wifi, etc. Been doing a lot of IT work out on Fishers Island for the past ...nearly 25 years. Spent most of my teen and 20's years almost every day in the summer out on Sandy Point, Napatree/Watch Hill area, over towards Ram Island, and even some at Hammock.

grew up summering with family friends in GLP - same stomping grounds - still line in western MA, but boat in south fla - haven't had the boat up here for a few years....miss the 2 month boating season LOL

Ahh yes GLP...I lived in Noank for a while, spent a lot of time over in GLP, high school friends, etc. Heck back in high school for 2 summers in a row my summer job was working at Abbotts Lobsters (Lobstahs) Weekly Esker Point Beach concerts were fun in the summer! Either walked down there a lot or would sometimes take the boat (had a smaller skiboat back then) and drop anchor off the beach.
