This one is a 2000, based on soldboats.com values of other sales near this age are kind of up and down...with an average in the 70ish range or so.

Thanks.

ulrick65: This is a great boat, we bought ours in July. I would make the offer contingent on a sea trial in the spring if this is the one for you. There are not many 370/380AC's out there for sale, compared to SR's. You can state just about anything in a contract if both parties agree. Good Luck

Thanks for the reply. How are you finding the power and gas usage on your boat? It's the only thing I have been a little concerned about...it's a big boat for the gas engines from what I read...but I have no experience in this size to compare to. Do you have any numbers you can share?

Thanks.

I am not sure where you boat, I am on a lake in Missouri. I do not have any hard numbers to share as it not necessary for me and my location. I generally run around 1200-1600 RPMS which doesn't push much water and runs 8-9 MPH, cocktail speed. When the washing machine called Lake of the Ozarks is rolling (almost every weekend in the summer), I run around 3000 RPM at 15 MPH just to keep it stable, but the trim tabs don't work yet, which would help with speed and drag. I have only opened her up once, 4000 RPM at 22.5 MPH on GPS, again with no tabs. Only did that for a minute and was pushing a lot of water.

I have read a lot about gas engines being underpowered in bigger boats. I feel the 7.4 MPI Bluewaters she has is plenty of power for her size on a lake. Docking in the wind or rough water is not an issue, I do not have a current to deal with, and speed is fine for me. It really depends on how you use it, for us, we spend most of our time on the hook tied up with friends less than a mile from our marina. One weekend we ran 64 miles in two days, we burned over 100 gallons of gas running at 3000 RPM or so. Defiantly not the norm for us, but was not an issue for the boat. We love the layout and usability of the boat for what we do, not as concerned with the performance; speed, and fuel consumption. again not really necessary on a lake. If you have questions please let me know, I would be happy to help with anything I can.

Go fast...burn gas! Love that one @northern !

We will be on Lake Champlain...close to home port until we get used to it, but we want to take trips up into Canada and possibly down to NY City on occasion in the future...but mostly just cruise the lake, spending long weekends, weekly vacation, etc.

Looking like I am probably going to make an offer now (or in a week or two when we get ducks in a row and final decision) and it will be contingent on Survey and Sea Trial in the spring.

Anything else I should consider for a boat that will have been on stands for 18 months...or anything really...please jump in.

Thanks.

@No Direction or @northern - My wife was wondering about not having a dinette in the Salon... Do you feel that is an issue or do you just have a table there in front of the couch or ?

If you pulled the couch you may be able to set up some type of dinette. This layout was not designed to have one. Currently, we do not have anything in the salon, I am building a table this winter that will look like a dock. It will be more like a coffee table. We have a table and chairs on the aft deck. We generally eat outside.

Definitely wouldn't pull the couch...will use that way more then a dinette. I don't think it's a problem...and I doubt we would miss it. Like you, I would get a smaller coffee table or something for the couch and call it good. Also, would have a table and chairs on the Aft Deck too.

Thanks.

Just a little update here. We signed the contract and waiting (not very patiently I might add!) for winter to get done so we can get the Survey and Sea Trial done and get her back to our home port! Couldn't be more excited here...the weeks don't go by fast enough!

I probably mentioned that this is a 2000 370AC, same as the 1999 model year, built in June 1999, sold in July 1999...so I guess they call it a 2000.

I took a lot of pictures and some video when we looked at it on the hard...but neglected to get the Engine serial numbers in my pictures. I was wondering if anyone can confirm what Horizon Engine is in these? In my research, I am getting confused as to exactly what 454 (7.4) engine it is. Definitely Horizon MPI...just not sure of what HP it would be. I assume 380 but not sure.

Thanks for any info. Is it spring yet?

You want info, here goes, when you are buying there is so much to overwhelm you. My buddy got a Hatters 40 out of Jersey, just what he wanted. He over looked something and it almost sunk off cape May on way back to MD. When I bought mine, I got it back to my marina outdrive no come up. The reservoir that holds the hydraulic fluid was cracked and no juice, had to take back to dealer to fix, took him 3 weeks cause he had my money by then. So, go slow, bring boat owner friends to inspect cause you will be distracted with all the stuff.

PS. Surveyors at $800 can tell you things you can’t see, like rotted transom, etc. But I have found that good friend boat owners who are impartial, while you all googlyed eyes at the shiny jell coat can tell you honestly this is a POS.

That year and that size I'm going to guess it the same Horzions they put in the sundanceres/expresses. It's the 7.4 version rated at 380 HP. Now be forwarned -- there is a valve overlap which can subject the engine to water ingestion. So you want to be gentile comming off plane and at idle.
